Anonymous, 18 Nov 2021I'm seeing a lot of mixed comments on here, if there's someone with experience, can ... moreI have 4a since August, flashed with grapheneOS since new for privacy without google apps. Battery lasts 2-3 days, has a nice display for a cheap phone and is fast enough for my use. I don't game on it, but it constantly has nordvpn on and a hotspot quite often. Switched from an iphone 6s which lasted me since 2016. Overall I am quite happy with it but an iphone is simpler and more convenient to use. I like the form factor too, as its external size is almost the same as the 6s but the screen is bigger. Also, it is built well enought that after dropping it a few times and keeping it in my pocket without any case or screen protector it has only one mark on the back. Screen is intact, and has no burn ins that OLED displays can suffer from. I have no experience with google's android system it comes with whatsoever so I cannot comment on that.

I'm seeing a lot of mixed comments on here, if there's someone with experience, can you please advise? Should I get the 4a, 3A XL or the regular 3? We're talking most likely used and not new, I'm looking to spend max 300 eur and I'd like a not too big phone.

i personally used this phone for a year and im not satisfied with performance. even very low intensity 3d games lag a lot and are not an enjoyable experience.
i still ike the phone overall, but by now the price seems a bit high. especially considering the entirely polycarbonate build!

Anyone having issues with the fingerprint reader since updating to Android 12? It's not all that consistant, device unlock is the most glaring issue I run into every day - fingerprints not recognized, I tried re-enrolling the prints to see if it makes it better, but the issue is not entirely gone.

If you stick with Android 11 at this point, it is basically a guarantee that your device will gradually accumulate more and more publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities.
(Yes, Project Mainline can deliver SOME security improvements independently of the monthly OTA patches, but there are some parts of the system which Mainline simply cannot touch, and so the monthly OTA updates remain an essential part of maintaining a properly secured phone.)
From a security perspective, switching to Android 12 is the obviously correct choice. Of course, you may have other conflicting priorities which may impact your decision.

boost, 29 Oct 2021anybody plz share assist which one is better google pixel 4a or samsung galaxy a52s.... 4a is ... moreGo with A52s without doubt. Better screen quality, full one UI, dolby atmos, IP 67 & better back panel color options (white & mint looks premium).
If your priority is compact phone & astrophotography (never used except for testing one time) only, then prefer pixel 4a.

Cheap materials. Denied warranty claim without any reason. "The repair cost more than the phone." Then offer a refurbished for almost full price of the new one. Not recommended any Google phone.
