The opening is mostly from the screen side and can damage the screen and display. Hence, expensive to open and clean. I can see why it could be a problem in a humid place.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2021Touch issues and cracked speakers sound no solved.Occasional touch issues are there for me but mostly something gets selected to copy or cut. Otherwise mostly smooth. Speakers are not a problem. You can only get good bass on phones designed to be used for the sound output. This is basically a normal phone with perfectly acceptable sound volume and quality.

However, all phones should be in some kind of protective case especially the ones with glass backs. Mine is in the transparent Spigen case and it has fallen a couple of times with no damage or even a scratch.

On the second point the plastic body has a very nice feel to it and it does not feel cheap at all rather coming from glass it actually feels good to hold it and also less worry of damage.

I was using Asus Zenfone 5z. Switched to Samsung S20. Now looking to buy a new android phone. Not impressed with the design of S21. Shortlisted Pixel 4a. Two questions.
1. Actually, I dont like the large phones that we get today. But coming from, 5z and S20, will 4a be very small? Has anyone switched from a 6.2 inch phone to a 5.8 inch phone?
2. The phone looks very plasticky. Unfortunately I cant check it in stores, since its available only online. Does this feel cheap too? or its not bad?. ( Both 5z and s20 felt super premium)

This is true..though they have all good products but post sale service (provided by B2X) is extreme costly, in that price you can buy a new Pixel phone

Glitch fest is the best word I can use.
Phone is constantly freezing up, poor cell signal, assistant rarely answers or takes a minute to do so, constantly having to restart phone just to straighten things out for a day or 2 until it starts again.
Going to sell it on kijiji.

Please don't buy this phone in India because
1) No google own service team, third party team only in Mumbai (B2X), service timely 19 working days max .Phone will be shipped to service in Mumbai
2) My phone showed OLED display issue, shipped to B2X. Now it is under their control and I got s quote of 31776 , brand new phone is 31999.
3) They mention liquid damage which nullified by 4 months old phones warranty and inform all components are damaged like mother board, USB, Speaker, camera , battery , glass cover etc etc.
4) Google service team is waste as they justify this brutal service charge and doesn't explain how this liquid damage occurs hence indirectly accuse that customer damaged it some how.
5) I have seen this issue in YouTube that the Google service for pixel4a is ruthless in India
