Y... moreSure, it depends on usage and not all users just use their mobile phones as fashion accessories. If you only use your phone for call and text and browsing photos on Facebook only, you may not experience much difference in performance.
But if you download a lot of offline content (YouTube, Netflix, etc.), record personal 4K 60fps or 8K videos regularly for memorable events, or store multimedia files and personal and work files on your phone for instant access, no data wasted, you are bound to repeatedly write-erase files on internal storage because of storage limitations in the Pixel phones.
Make no mistake: It translates to much faster deterioration of internal storage whether you accept it or not. And we're not talking yet about the small batteries in the Pixel phones as well. Unless you just use your Pixel phone for call and text, battery longevity is another serious issue to consider.

Excellent proposition.

Low internal storage naturally means FASTER wear and tear of internal storage and faster fill up. Frequent read/write/erase on the same sectors, because if limited storage means you'll quickly degrade them and you'll suffer lags from near full storage and lags from worn out internal storage earlier. These lags from internal storage wear are permanent since no factory reset will revive a worn or bad storage sector.
This means, you're more likely to have to replace your Pixel phone before it even reaches end of software support.
Strategies above are both really good for Google's business model. Not only will you pay for Google's cloud storage forever, but you'll also be accelerating your Pixel phone replacement due to rapid internal storage wear. Add to that the small battery capacity of Pixel phones. Small battery capacity means frequent charging cycles and frequent deep discharge levels (battery level frequently going below 20% before recharging due to low battery capacity), both of which are very damaging to battery longevity.
In short, Google makes more money and as a bonus, can improve machine learning algorithms on face and object detection in your photos so Google can produce more relevant ads for you (based on the kind of photos/media you upload to its cloud servers).

Unless if your meeting room is still using analog projectors with acetate transparencies.

In the end, I've decided to just wait for the Pixel 4a since I don't like the notch in the P30 and I'd really love to experience owning a Pixel phone. My wife has the P30 pro, it's nice and takes good pictures but it's too large for me. Even the P30 is slightly bigger than the Pixel 4a.

Can someone please explain why these phones are so expensive? I'm really really interested to know, maybe i'm missing something, because I don't understand and it does not make any sense.
For a phone just released it has at least 1 year old components, sub par specifications and price bigger than other phones.
I'm looking for a compact phone, but not at this price lol

I've had my 3a for 6 months or so. Did not consider the storage limitation. Now I feel some regret. Is it really cheaper for the company to limit the storage capacity? I do not get it. Maybe 128 would have to be some kind of minimum in my book.
