The GCam ports allow tinkering which means you can have photo output on all default settings, or BETTER yet, if you just spend some time studying and learning how those settings affect the final photo output, you can actually make the color response and photo processing truly your own style, attuned to exactly how you like it. It's like jazzing up one's car. You may end up with a jazzed up car that will look better than anyone else's or it may look worse to everyone else other than you.

GCam ports are actually better for users who know photogra... moreI have GCam ports on multiple Xiaomi phones and I have a Pixel 4a and previously a 3a. I agree the ports can produce great results with a little effort however the Pixel phone will produce great results with no effort. On my 3a the pictures processed pretty slow, but the 4a seems quite snappy. The main thing I see with the GCam ports is that most of them require a bit of tinkering to get them to be serviceable.

GCam ports are actually better for users who know photography and want to tweak settings (that Google FORBIDS in the original GCam for Pixel phones) for them to get the FINAL photo output the user wants, not the FINAL photo output Google wants. And there are many ported versions compatible for a single phone each with customizable features and tweaked in many different ways as many as the developers that port them. I know you'll never be able to appreciate that as most Pixel owners are as naive as iphone users. They don't bother with customization settings.

Vrabac, 21 Aug 2020It is funny how people compare this beautiful, small, light phone with enormously big Samsung ... moreIt's amazing how this overpriced Pixel 4a phone cannot be compared to the Samsung A71 when the A71 has exactly the same processor and internal storage and offers everything the Pixel 4a can offer (including GCam and 3 year software updates) and so much more - bigger, more gorgeous amoled screen, bigger battery, micro sd storage, true dual SIM, etc. Etc. It seems the only unique 'feature' this Pixel 4a phone has that other phones can't offer are the small screen and small battery. Apparently, they're now unique 'features' of the Pixel 4a other brands can't offer.

And guess what? Those GCam mods are even usable to not only the main camera but also the ultrawide camera as well which this stupid Pixel 4a phone doesn't have because it's crippled with only one camera and its users are dumb.

According to the official specs, the Pixel 4a has Bluetooth® 5.0 + LE, A2DP (HD codecs: AptX, AptX HD, LDAC, AAC). It would be better to update the specifications.

Like a deprecated design and specs at 2 years ago. $249 should be the reasonable price for it as a spare phone.
