wow this phone is so unexpectedly good. im like an apple fangirl, but the pixel has made me really get into the realm of android. i remember disliking the samsung experience, but the pixel blew me away. im so excited for pixel 6 if it comes out this year

Hole punch- u will forget about it the second u start using it
UFS2.1- like u will notice a difference
Wifi-6- wont make much of a difference in the real world
SoC, SD slot- not even gonna argue with that

no sd card, no wifi 6, no notification light, superslow cpu, superslow charging, figerprint in the back like it was 2017, huge punchhole, ufs2, terrible speaker behing glass..what's not to love? the price should be half for this midclass.

Had my pixel 5 for a couple of months now and I have to say that it is seriously underwhelming.
Constant issues with the phone app (person who called me appears to call whilst talking to them, phone thinks it's on hold so disables DTMF sending)
Does not drop data connection method properly (goes straight from 5g to H+ instead of to 4g)
Graphic tearing in some apps
Choppy animation in some apps
Camera is nothing special.
I came from an S9 to this phone and wish I'd never done it.

498You guys are typing in the comments of the price of Google Pixel 4a. This is the Google Pixel 5, and it is worth $699 for this phone. Prices that are below this are false.

Had Pixels previously with a 1XL, 3XL and most recently a 5.
The 5 has no compelling functionality but I was reasonably happy with it until 3 months in all comms failed. The WiFi failed (with no MAC Address showing even) and the 4g/5g failed simultaneously. I was asked to reset to factory settings and now the thing is bricked because you cannot set it up without an internet connection which it is incapable of.
I have little confidence in the device but Google refuse to refund me or give me anything but a refurb replacement. Do yourself a favour and buy a better phone than this.
