Anonymous, 09 Oct 2020Pixel 5. I WANT 5G Network, FM RADIO, headphone jack, 500ppi, and a removable batt.Well you're not getting that.
why is it more expensive than the s20 ?
Finally a non-ios phone have a bottom chin bezel that is symmetrical with the top bezel...
why other phone company can't make phone with symmetrically top and bottom bezel? like the iphone? Samsung phone still have a small bottom chin bezel
Pixel 5. I WANT 5G Network,
FM RADIO, headphone jack,
500ppi, and a removable batt.
Everything was good except the finger print at the back. Disappointed.
The s20 FE 5G is wayyyy better value for me. 120Hz screen, UFS 3.1, WIFI 6, SD865, 256 GB of storage with battery endurance rating of 110!

I really want to buy this phone. However, feels like I'm downgrading my since I have the SD845 mi 8, though I really want the cam and video quality, but the price it seems too expensive for a mid-range chipset.
i really like this phone.. but in Estonia it costs 749euros.. that price is not appealing at all :(
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2020I agree with your point here, but I would point out one major factor with the 865 in particula... moreThat's a good point. I was speaking more generally about the efficiencies of more powerful chipsets.
Although in actual practice, it looks like the Galaxy S20 5G, with the Snapdragon 865 and non-integrated modem, has pretty good battery life. That despite having a higher resolution and higher refresh rate screen, than the Pixel 5, both of which ought to hurt the S20's battery life. And they both have the same size 4000 mAh battery, so the Pixel 5 probably would have been fine with the 865 chipset.
Anyway, even if there's an advantage in battery life because of the 765G's integrated modem (will have to wait for reviews of the Pixel 5 to see if that's really true) it still doesn't justify the crazy $700 price tag.

If that justifies the 300€ more they are asking for the P5 compared to P4a, that's another story.
For some countries they have this Bose wireless headphones giveaway if you pre-ordered the P5 or P4a 5g which is pretty cool to be fair.

I believe the next iteration(assuming it's named 875) will have an integrated modem. This should be even more powerful and efficient.
Storage quality USF 3.0/3.1 is better to see this price.

They are, in fact, often more energy efficient. This is because they can ramp up, complete a task very quickly, and then drop back to low energy idle. In contrast, a less powerful processor when it ramps up will take longer to complete the same task, using more energy, before it drops back down to idle.

I'm not saying this is a bad phone, but the only thing that kills it is the price and the fact that you can get the 4a for half the price and with not significant differences
aliminium frame and back
lightweight compact design with ip68 rating
clean UI and custom rom possibilities
this or the xl version will be my next phone I guess

I have a feeling that you are the guy that thinks that when Apple introduces a old ass feature thinks it's the greatest innovation made in California (even if it was already available on Android phones for years).
So this will have a slower processor than the Pixel 3XL on paper. Will it actually run slower or will the extra RAM help?
