Google Wear OS Smart wearables Rumors

Google may have recently rebranded Android Wear, but that doesn't mean that platform seems to be getting much more love than before. Perhaps the search giant's wearable dreams will be rekindled with an own-brand flagship device to showcase everything Wear OS by Google is capable of.

That's exactly what we'll get this fall, according to famed leakster Evan Blass. According to what he calls reliable sources, at Google's next hardware-focused event a Pixel-branded watch will make its debut, alongside the Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones, and second generation Pixel Buds.

If true, this would remedy what has been one of the big omissions in the company's newfound hardware strategy. All that's left is for it to give us another Android TV console, and then Google would really have all its bases covered, when it comes to own-brand stuff.

The point here, with the pixel watch, is that if there is no advance in the SOC ther will be little incentive to buy a new watch. We are still with the SD2100 and its limitations are obvious (battery, lag, GPS tracking...).
