Google has already teased its upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones, as well as the Pixel Watch, back in May at its I/O developer conference, and today the company is back with an actual date set for their full unveiling. The timing of this revelation is definitely not related to the fact that Apple's big fall event is tomorrow. Right?
Anyway, Google will take the wraps off its new devices on October 6, at 10 AM ET. You can sign up for updates and add the date and time to your calendar by following this link.
The company has also outed the name of the new chipset that will be at the heart of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, and it won't be called Tensor 2 as everyone assumed, but Tensor G2 instead. "G" for Google, perhaps?
Finally, Google revealed the colorways for the upcoming devices. Thus, the Pixel 7 will be available in Obsidian, Lemongrass, and Snow, while the Pixel 7 Pro will be offered in Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow.
