The Russian manufacturer of ultra-expensive phones Gresso obviously got tired of their usual business and decided to go for a new challenge. Enter the Gresso Extreme X3 - an-element resistant phone with a modest, $270, price tag and, untypically for the class, decent design.
Capable of surviving a fall from 7 meters of height, the Gresso Extreme X3 is also able to withstand a pressure of up to 1.5 tonnes. The X3 is completely dust-tight and can be submerged to up to 5 meters, so you'd really need to try really hard if you are to kill this one. As usual for that kind of phones, the Gresso Extreme X3 comes with an extended operating temperature range (from -50°C to +60°C) and a keyboard that's easy to use with gloves.
Strangely enough, the press release fails to mention anything about the Gresso Extreme X3 extra features. You know, stuff like a color screen, GPS, flashlight etc. We guess we'll have to wait till September, when the X3 should go on sale to learn more about those things.
We just don't know what the owners of the umpteen-thousand-dollar Gresso luxury phones will say, when they see that they will get the exclusivity of the brand taken away by truck drivers and miners.
The JCB phone is not the Gresso, The JCB is only tested to 2m drop test, One ton of pressure and water RESISTANCE. An dthe JCB retails at around the 70-80 mark GBP. The Gresso looks much more impressive.
Yeach, buy that phone and hit your head with it or swalllow it to see if it is waterproof.
