GSMA names Mate 20 Pro best phone, Google's Night Sight most disruptive tech

Misc MWC 2019

Now that the Mobile World Congress is at its penultimate day, it's time for GSMA to issue the Global Mobility of Employees (GLOMO) awards.

The GLOMO awards cover a wide spectrum of the industry so we'll focus on what matters to us - Mobile. Starting with the best smartphone. A panel of judges chose the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

For Best Overall Mobile Consumer Innovation GSMA gave the nod to Epic Games for their Fortnite Franchise.

Samsung won the Best Wearable Mobile Technology for its Galaxy Watch.

Google won the award for Disruptive Device Innovation for Night Sight, which premiered on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Well huawei is for several years a lot better brand than Samsung also a lot more innovative.

At least some things aren't fake, like Night Sight and Mode. And as great as it is to see good phones so cheap, I'd rather have a phone with an identity

You change the name. Not even the specs. That's the strategy they use today. Add a groundbreaking color if you want. I dunno, like a gradient. Or reflective effect. Don't bother too much because it will get copied. You can also add some sor...
