If you've been anxiously waiting for the next installment in the hit Grand Theft Auto series, here's some very bad news for you. GTA maker Rockstar Games has just announced the new official release date of GTA VI, and it's not in 2025 as initially promised.

It is now set to come out on May 26, 2026. Unsurprisingly, the company apologizes for the fact that "this is later than you expected", adds a note about "the interest and excitement" regarding the upcoming game being "truly humbling" for the entire team, and thanks you for your ongoing support and patience in its brief official press release on the matter.

Rockstar wants you to know that the extra time is needed in order "to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve", as the company's goal "has always been to try and exceed your expectations". It promises to share more information soon, but regardless of that, the reality is that we're now about a year removed from the release of GTA VI, and that's that.

Gta like games should be baned before launch. This type of games promote violence. That is bad for civilizations. Support ban the GTA 6 game movement.
