Honor 10 will have a 3.5mm audio jack like the P20 Lite and Honor View 10

Huawei Android Rumors

The Honor 10 is no stranger to the rumor mill, but there still are new details coming to light every day. The phone will use the same 5.84” LTPS display panel as the Huawei P20 Lite, including the notch. The selfie cam in that notch should be the 24 MP module from the P20 and P20 Pro (the Lite model comes with 16 MP).

The mix of features continues with a 3.5mm audio jack, unlike the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.

Unfortunately, the Honor 10 will miss out on expandable memory – it will not have a microSD slot like the P20 Lite and Honor View 10 do. It will use the Kirin 970 chipset, however, which places it between the Lite and the View specs-wise (and probably price-wise).

The phone is expected to be unveiled tomorrow with Android 8.1 and EMUI 8.1. In the meantime, you can gaze at the leaked renders and read up on the specs from TENAA.

Because 3.5mm jack slowly becomes a rarity, that's why it is newsworthy.

Honestly I'd prefer the expandable storage instead of 3.5mm jack if I had to choose. However those two features are slowly but steadily fading away from flagship phones. It's something when a midrange phone offers a more complete package than a flags...
