Gino76, 26 Mar 2018USB Type-C have been around for almost 2 years now. Surely a rich company such as Huawei/Honor... moreI know it looks simple, but for a company even 1 cent less per connector is worth thousands of $$ in savings over millions of phones, and that's just the connector. $1 less for that "lousy" kirin 659 equals a million $ over a million phones, and these are the things that allow them to sell it for 200 eur instead of 400... now since most people don't give even that cent if their phone has microUSB or USB-C,..with most areas and providers making no difference if your phone has CAT6 or CAT12 LTE, or since we don't look at screens with magnifying glasses and so on,.. it happens that most people just won't notice the difference between a $200 phone and a $500 phone, so when that cheaper phone ticks some boxes like larger decent screen, good looks and acceptable performance, it's just said to be a good deal.
Again, things are also relative and I have to remind you that last fall, the hot deal in Europe was the huawei P8 lite,... for about 180 euros,.. Im not saying this P9lite is a miracle,.. but its an improvement ;)
M and M, 26 Mar 2018Really,... and can you name a phone that is not made in China :DYes. Sharp is not manufactured nor assembled in China, FYI.

Surely a rich company such as Huawei/Honor can stick one for a sub-£200 phone right? Coz its the damn future. And yes sunlight readability is important to me - I asked this question coz from my experience of owning Huawei/Honor phones their sunlight legibility (even being 500 nits & above) is still poor for my "basic" needs. And this whole 18:9 aspect ratio thing is a gimmick as the phone becomes too tall and the aspect ratio is only good for watching films in such ratio which is very limited for now. And about you mentioning a quad-core phone staying with Android 6 let me ask you this ...do you think this phone would go to 8.1 soon? Or Android 9.0 within 6 months? I think we all know the answer to that question. (a big fat No)
Gino76, 23 Mar 2018I do understand specs is one thing but having a "basic" specs sheet for a "standard" 4G phone ... moreWooahh,.. ban microUSB,.. maybe you want to burn all LCD phones :P,.. dont you think it's a bit excessive for a 200 euro phone that is trying to be decent, especially in Europe, when just a few months ago that money bought you a 5", 720p screen with a lousy quad core and android 6 for life.
This is a decent phone that will perform decently for most, non-gaming uses.I switched to it and gave up things like USB-C or quick charging when my previous phone hit the ground. Have to be a bit more careful than with USBC yes, and at the beach I try to enjoy the sun, so never had a sunlight readability problem with any phone, that's about it :D
Which is the best mid-range cell phone from any famous company for example Huawei, Samsung, oppo etc... reply please
Piku, 24 Mar 2018Honor 9 lite have audio hardwere problem. Audio is bad, crapy. Im DJ and tested with all head... moreDJ is testing budget smartphone lol! Hey DJ increase your budget if you want HQ sound...
Honor 9 lite have audio hardwere problem.
Audio is bad, crapy. Im DJ and tested with all headphones.
overall its made in china.
vishnu, 21 Mar 2018Honor 9 lite support dts audio or not? Honor 7x work with dts audio feature very well or not ?... moreI will only speak for 7x because that's all i have. RE: DTS - THE sound is really great when you use headphone man. Well I'm using an in-ear LG headset and it rocks! It's lovely.
vishnu, 21 Mar 2018Honor 9 lite support dts audio or not? Honor 7x work with dts audio feature very well or not ?... morehonor 7x would be a good one but you will loose it on quick charge. It would dissapoint you there if you needed some speed charging solution. Again if music through earphones is your priority, may b this honor mobiles will disappoint you, the music isnt loud but not bad. exactly as required they are. but still, they kinda make feel like, they r missing something. hence, i'm worried what phone you can purchase. Mi redmi note 5 pro is good at speed charge but avarage at music clarity over headphones. God help you, cuz i'm suffering too for buying a good phone in the price range just like yours.
shahil, 23 Mar 2018battery performance???Around 8 hours. 6hrz SOT, this isn;t bad, the phone's very light weight, feels good in hand.

You gotta understand it in detail which means not just b... moreI do understand specs is one thing but having a "basic" specs sheet for a "standard" 4G phone (and software optimization) is another.
It is the year 2018 anyway and why would you put out a phone which has a slower 4G speeds (Cat4) or an ancient microUSB or have a slow USB 3.0 speeds on a Type-C port or some form of basic IP rating (IP53 maybe) for those odds spills or have an inferior LCD screen that is simply not up to it when on direct sunlight or have a a weak single mono speaker? Surely these specs should be obsolete and should be banned.
User 77, 23 Mar 2018How long does the battery last?( I play songs most of the time)If you listen through your headphones, it will last for a long time :)
Basically for the price, the battery is solid.
Refer to P10 lite or P8 lite 2017, then you know the battery life is average.
