Loaded play store previously..
But incomplete google service, google translate snap & scan not working, instant scan work thou..
How nice if it gain official GMS service...😬😬

Received a 101 MB FOTA update containing Jun, 2021 Android security patch. After latest update:

The phone was released back in Aug, 2019 which is exactly 2 years from now. Hope this is not the last update as major Chinese manufacturers stop giving updates only after 3 years.

Received June monthly security patch on 31 July(HLK - L42).
Windows 11 native apk support is good, since the Windows market share would attract a lot of Dec's to remove Play Store dependencies,benefiting Huawei indirectly(or maybe it's intentional)

The flagship grade fluidity in operation that Honor 9X Pro (global version) achieves is mainly due to this. From onset 9X Pro has been an unique device for me devoid of GMS. Believe me I like this. Only gripe is Huawei providing quarterly security patch updates to this phone:

Another fun fact:The 9x pro loses only to Zenfone 6(in all phones ever existing ) to contain a powerful SOC(A lot others use SD675,P70), Memory card,3.5mm Jack,a pop up and 256GB base .

Mine is Honor 9X Pro (Global) variant with 6/256 GB memory configuration. Huawei indeed is providing quarterly security patch updates to this phone. I can understand your frustration as we will neither get an Android version upgrade nor GMS.

Honor 9X Pro (Global) variant software situation comes under sole responsibility of Huawei and not that of new Honor. And it is not a flagship device from Honor so it will receive quarterly security patch updates under the mercy of Huawei.
Everything translated it all boils down to 9X Pro (Global) variant will remain stuck to Android 9 as it arrived from the factory with quarterly security path upto July, 2022 max (3 years). And no GMS as Huawei is in charge of the software.

I say this because Chinese 9X Pro variant is already running Android 10 for a year, while the global variant is still stuck on Android 9.

Is there any way to bypass the permissions when apps are downloaded from petal search. For now, the apps are having unnecessary permissions to view/modify sensitive data, even if it is not required.
