Honor Android 5G Announcement

Honor today announced its first 5G smartphone in the X series, dubbed Honor X10 5G.

The Honor X10 5G is powered by the Kirin 820 SoC - the same platform that powers the higher standing Honor 30S. It supports dual-mode 5G (SA/NSA) as well as nine 5G frequency bands for an extensive range of coverage.

The X10 5G runs Android 10 with MagicUI 3.1.1 on top and you get three memory options - 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. It also comes with a microSD card slot, which allows storage expansion by up to 256GB.

The Honor X10 5G is built around a 6.63" FullHD+ notchless IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.

The phone comes with a total of four cameras - a 16MP selfie snapper mounted on a pop-up mechanism, and a triple camera setup on the back comprising a 40MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro units.

The 40MP main camera packs an RYYB sensor for better light sensitivity and in turn low-light photography. The smartphone also comes with AIS Super Night Mode, 3D Portrait Lighting Effect, and 960fps Slow Motion Video Recording.

Fueling this entire package is a 4,300 mAh battery which charges at up to 22.5W.

The Honor X10 5G comes in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, Titanium Silver, and Fiery Orange colors. The base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at CNY1,899 ($270/€245) and for CNY300 ($42/€39) more you get double storage. And if you go for the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, you'll have to shell out CNY2,399 ($340/€310).

I thought Honor phones shipped with all the Google play services and play store as they are now independent from Huawei? Can anyone clear this up? If the prices are anywhere near correct and it is able to use Google services this actually looks ok.
