Honor Android Announcement

Honor announced its latest X-series smartphone with the X8b, offering solid specs for a midragner with plenty of storage and a 108MP main cam. Honor X8b brings a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. The panel also brings a pill-shaped cutout dubbed Magic Capsule which delivers system and status notifications. There’s a 50MP front-facing camera which also has its own flash.

Despite its 6.7-inch screen, Honor X8b is just 6.78 mm thick and weighs only 166 grams. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128/256/512GB storage trims. The back houses a 108MP main cam, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The software side is covered by MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 while the battery comes in at 4,500 mAh and supports 35W charging.

Honor X8b comes in Glamorous Green, Titanium Silver and Midnight Black colors. Pricing in Malaysia starts at MYR 999 ($213) for the 8/128GB trim. The device is also listed in Saudi Arabia for SAR 799 ($213).
