ipaq accessories are not availble freely in market(power adapter and battery) if we contatct hp service provider - call hp customer care, and called hpcc they said call isp.
we always pillar to pillar. back to square. zero result. pls do the needfull.
MD A, 01 Nov 2008I used it from 1 year but now i Faced a problem thats its performed very slowly and be Hang. One of the best phones for its price.
If your phone hangs or goes slowly u probably have virus or some program drains your battery. I suggest to make master reset after u save all data inside external memory card ( there are programs to restore all contacts + sms with 1 click ) To make master reset , turn off your phone , keep pressing the square central button and turn the phone ON at the same time....it will ask you ..Master reset ....click yes ...and your phone is formatted and behaves like u just bought it ,hopefully with no virus in it.

Vegita, 31 Aug 2008Love this phone.Simply the best non-3g phone ever. talking 21 mins, and the battery went down ... moreyeah, totally agree. the battery life is really amazing. volume is loud when making calls. wi-fi is fast n easy to use. however, the text is really too small.hard to see.functions are ok. but interface too boring...changing to a sony ericsson one soon. :) battery might not be as lasting, but interface will b much vibrant. n less dead

if no? what the diffrences?? list it..
thanks guy..The market.
**2 is the Asian version.
**4 is for the US (or is it European?) version.
Same for the iPaq 61* and 91* phone too.
The Asian version have Chinese text support, while European version has the European major countries' language interface.

Some people don't understand the limitations of this HP iPAQ 514. That's why it's called Smartphone because of its value and economical price. So don't expect too much out from this phone. I have this one also but I don't mind about some of its shortcomings because I didn't spent that much on this.
bill, 27 Aug 2008guys! can this handset start a new document ? or it can only read and edit from its microsoft ... moretry the ipaq500.blogspot.com , it says what are the best softwares for ipaq. dnt install all. your phone cant stand that much.smarttoolkit and core player are some good softwared available
New document can be made with an application. Search for Modaco DoNew.
For Youtube and MP4, there are 3rd party applications you could install to play them. Make sure it's made for non-touch screen device though.
As for text message storage, I think all smartphones have virtually unlimited text message storage as far as the memory allows.
Love this phone.Simply the best non-3g phone ever. talking 21 mins, and the battery went down 3%. 3% as 51% to 48%, and I still didn't mention that it's harder to make the battery from 100 to 80 then 80-60 or 60-40. MSN works wonderful, wi-fi is usable, camera quality is on the level of Motorola 2mp cameras. But the best point of this phone is still the battery life, can bear a total week and I used it so much, hard to beat a bar down off the battery. Talking sound quality and volume is lovely, couldn't hear anyone on a Nokia and a Samsung after using this phone. The GSM level is almost always on maximum, can talk from the basement also, when others can't find network.
