kk lian, 06 Sep 2013Only single touch is respond. Why?Update the Google keyboard
Just bought it yesterday,it's really good considering the price, overall i'm happy using it,the games run smoothly, facebook is great,it's fast and looks good.
Would be great if the screen was a bit wider. Anyhow' not bad if you can get it for not more than 100$. :)
Hi,friends.Frankly speaking,it,s an affordable inexpensive budget economical tablet for the children and present! But no expectations of a high or mid-range tablets from it expected!!This is as far as I can write and wish and hope the better works from the hp!!!?Good luck and thanks to all+gsm!

joey, 10 Sep 2013cannot make a videocall on facebook to laptap or computers... This need hier android version i think 4.2.2
Two issues with this device. 1, it seems to suffer from a delay when pressing power button from standby, and a prolonged wait until screen comes to life. Not sure if a hardware or jellybean issue. Also, many apps, that Do work if side loaded to device....eg Bingo Bash are deemed incompatible from Google Play with Slate 7. The screen is very dim and yellwish. It has a good chipset though, and is speedy. But put it next to the now aged Samsung 7 tab 2, and still that device with only a 1Gb dual core chip is still much better to use and close in price. I think HP should stick to printers, this bargain basement tablet....even at a low price just does not cut the mustard. It has so much potential, but in daily use is not for me.
lamia glal , 05 Sep 2013this is tablet i don't if it had sim card or no ?? anyone tell me please !!it doesn't have sim , u can't make calls through it
I LUV this tablet!!! For price it totally rocks! I did NOT want to spend fortune & wanted more workspace than my small Huaweii phone.
This is a tablet, so if you want a phone GET a phone.
Download apps/programs from Google Play or internet. Yes, HP Slate 7 only does wifi. Skype is no problem. I have an external SD inserted & put videos, 100s of ebooks, & music on it that I can view with "Aldiko" or "VLC" vs "MX Player". I also installed "Android File Manager" which lets me copy and paste items between internal, external SDs, and the download file. No, you cannot move apps to SD card but no need, there is lots of space.
This is a beautiful, sturdy, perfectly sized tablet for multi-purpose use & BETTER DESIGNED & PRICED than many book readers. I have tons of apps & also work on this tablet.
Funny enough - before I was even looking for a tablet, my large screen desktop Compaq was about to die & I ended up getting a better quality, newer model large screen HP desktop for less than I payed for the Compaq years ago!! Maybe I should look to the HP Pre phone next once my phones dies too!
Can't believe how many spoiled, complaining people (chasing expensive hype too) when majority of world are so poor they would kill to have gadgets like this. NO gadget will give you 100% everything!!! So look for your specific needs. For anyone who wants an elegant & functional tablet at good price - this is it. Great QUALITY for the price. HP Slate is rock solid. Thank you HP.
