HTC Android Firmware Updates

HTC is yet another maker to detail its plans for Android 9.0 Pie updates. It announced which of its phones are getting the delicious Pie update in a tweet yesteraday.

We're pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course.

As you can see, this year's U12+ is the first on the list along with the U11+, U11 and U11 Life. The U Ultra and U play are nowhere to be seen, but maybe there's still chance that they will be included in a subsequent wave of updates.

Also, HTC hasn't given any specific timeframe for the updates, but it will be publishing the roll-out schedule soon enough.

A bit bad of them not to include the htc u ultra, it's a great phone for the money and it'll easily power android 9. Let's hope they can optimise the heck out of it, especially the htc u12+ because it's battery life is terrible considering its near s...
