1st. you can't compare the chacha to the E6
the E6 is 2900LE in egypt but the chacha is 1800LE
so u can't compare 2 different types of phones
n also the E6 has an 8MPX camera but the chacha has a 5MPX camera , the last thing is the E6 shots HD videos
but the chacha only record's 640X480 videos
so it's un fare fo us to compare the chacha to the E6 cuz simply it's like comparing the iphone to the galaxy S II , u can't do that !!!!
2nd this phone's price is so good for it's options
u get a good battery, camera, video, qwerty keyboard n the most important thing is that u can play HD games on it which is great !!
i'll buy this phone ISA or i'll buy the pearl 9100
after ramadan or when i finish 1st term of school
I use this phone for almost one week.. everything is good. Internet fast . Good key pad ... And value for money .. in $ 450
Compare HTC cha cha with nokia E6.....E6 really kicks some serious u know what! better resolution, better battery life ,better camera, better 3G connectivity ......proper smartphone.price too not much different I guess
Hi when this handset will be launched in Pakistan and any price guesses for Pakistan?
does the cha cha have signal boost UMA?? or can u download it to the phone??
For the record, I don't even have a Facebook account and admit that the Facebook button is really just a gimmick. What's important about this device is not stated on the review here. It is that the full keyboard is probably the best of any other phone, it truly is a pleasure to use for a person like me who needs to be able to write lots of messages using proper grammar and punctuation.
Android 2.3 runs very quickly, I see no discernible difference between applications like Whatsapp and Skype compared to my old Desire which had a beefier processor and more memory. The only disappointment for me is that the camera is average, although what should I really expect for a £200 phone?
Like I said, if you hate typing on touchscreens and use the web a lot, then I am not aware of a better device out there.
Just to answer a few question from other readers.
1. The battery life of the ChaCha is decent, but nothing spectacular. I get 1.5 days out of it with wi-fi turned at all times and fairly heavy usage. Better than a HTC Desire or iPhone, but not by much.
2. With regards to the running of applications on internal memory. I have actually installed several apps (Whatsapp for one) to the external memory card and am running them fine.
I love the phone and would wholeheartedly recommend it. It trounces any of the Blackberry and Nokia models in terms of being able to write out text on the generously apportioned full key pad. The screen isn't exactly big, but for me, the most important aspect for a device is that it's quick for me open a browser, put together properly written e-mail's and communicate rapidly.
this phone is available in KSA
so it must have arabic support !
however, every mobile phone the meddle-east n africa has arabic support sometimes francais,Duch but always arabic n english
it's a nice phone, nice price, nice brand and a nice screen ! bec. the resolution is high u can play HD games which is really cool in a med-price phone
it costs like 1800LE=1300SR
but i prefer the salsa more than the chacha
u can compare phones on jawal123.com,gsmarena.com,mymobimobi
btw,em a golden member in an arabian website "www.mob4me.net" my name there is _mero_

hime, 17 Jul 2011hi can i ask is this phone internet fast ?It is quite slow. actually depends what website.
JunePhilippines, 15 Jul 2011Yes. Even Nokia 3310 supports arabic textssorry but android phones have problem with persian... i had x10 mini and it not have any persian font...
have youe ever seen arabic fonts in it?
because in arabic forum i saw that this phone should be root and font should be copied to read arabic...
a lot of tnx
It seems that the internal memory on this device accessible by the user is below 200mb. That sucks given that alot of important apps like Skype, whatsapp require the internal memory to be used and not transferred to the SD card. Ill possibly have to root the phone to use external memory. sigh
