Anonymous, 11 Jan 2011anyone has idea on how to change location of incoming downloads.my downloads go to phone stora... moreIf you are talking about Apps see my post below yours.
The phone only has 147Mb available for apps. To increase this you need A2SD+
Froyo has gone part of the way with move to sd, but this doen't work on widgets and only moves part of the app not the whole app (Also this requires the developer to support this, not all apps can be moved).
anyone has idea on how to change location of incoming downloads.my downloads go to phone storage and its almost full.i need to know how to change it to phone memory.thanks
Archimoron, 10 Jan 2011Is the internal memory 512MB enough for this smartphone, if the memory gets full does get slow... moreFor apps you get circa 147 Mb
This is easily resolved by rooting and flashing a custom rom that supports A2SD+ you can then add a Ext 2/3/4 to your SD card and the phone will then see this partition as internal memory as well.
I have about 60 Apps/Widgets added to my phone and It's showing only 37 of the 147Mb used so far, and my partition isn't full yet.
Custom Roms also have other benifits like better battery life, undervolt & Overclock, CPU Profiles ant not having to wait for your carrier to release new OS as the guys at XDA get their roms out way ahead of the carriers.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!! I have just got this phone is it is perfect -had about 1 1/2 wks now- time enough to get used to it! I don't like having to recharge the battery half way through the day and again at night, but then I'm CONSTANTLY on it, so thats not so bad, huh?? I love to just hold it in my hand and just look at it! I know the 'new' will wear off, but I'm enjoying so heck out of it for now!
Ken, 09 Jan 2011Hi I have just got the htc Desire, the problem I have is that I cant send photos, ringtones etc... moreMy daughter transsferred mine. She did have some trouble with bluetooth at first, co-operating (or her inexperience with androids!), but it finally got through being stubborn and all the contacts come through! Keep trying, but you don't need all that stuff you're doing. The Desire comes with all you need already installed in it.
A great phone with a great performance!
No lags, does provide all the good things you get with Android, and is compact for pocket. Highly recommended!

Hi ppl, can anyone help me decide, i wish to get the Desire but going thru the specs, i didn't see any app for document reading like word, ppt, excel and the like does it mean it does not have any document reader? just curios b4 i decide.
Ken, 09 Jan 2011Hi I have just got the htc Desire, the problem I have is that I cant send photos, ringtones etc... moreI've had my desire since october and I love it. I had to send back my nokia n8 to get it and I'm so pleased I did.
I've bluetooth'd lots of pics and music from my old nokia n95 to it without a problem (I'm using android 2.2). This may be a silly thing but worth mentioning, have you turned your bluetooth onto 'discoverable' in the bluetooth settings not just turned the bluetooth on? As it won't receive anything until it is set to discoverable. Hope that's all your problem is and its not nothing more.
And for those saying battery does not last a day must be extremely heavy users as mine easily last a day with medium usage, example; I unplug my charger at about 8 am and through the day I have about an hour of calls and about 20/30 texts, hour of internet via wifi, half hour of games, wifi and emails always on, and I go to bed and charge it at about midnight and its usually on about 30% battery remaining
