Shahab, 31 Dec 2010How can i find an AMOLED HTC Desire? SLCD is too waek! Well you can get AMOLED GSM version of Desire through another third party store. Or you can order it Online.
But let me tell you this, AMOLED is crystal-organic technology, it may display much more vivid than LCD, the life span isn't very long.
Personally, I think SLCD looks pretty good on the phone because of the WVGA resolution. Although AMOLED is a bit brighter.
I have had my desire for a couple of days now, i purchased it from the carphone warehouse and got it in white and its ACE. Do not hesitate its bloody ace, better than sony etc, htc isn't common haha

******* PROS *******
- Great and solid hardware.
- Best Touch experience..better than Iphone..solid glass
- Sound quality excellent
- Display ultimate(AMOLED)
- Speed super-fast(1 GHz)
******* CONS ********
- Camera quality average
- Battery Eater..works max for 2 days
- Earphones are not good..go for creative EP630.
- Inbuilt Audio player doesn't have equalizer
- can't have single wallpaper on main screen. Actually whenever u set a wallpaper..it stretch d wallpaper to 7 screen...which is ridiculous.
I am using HTC Desire for about 3 months now. Its a Fabulous mobile. The down side is the Battery backup. Desire Sucks.. Literally Sucks your battery. i hardly get one day with moderate usage (an hour of WiFi, couple of games and approx 20 min on phone)
A very good phone....now having Arabic rom U can found at XDA Developer forum.

I got an HTC desire in June. It worked fine for about a month after which the phone started overheating and shutting down. Three months later the phone overheated in the middle of a 10 minute call, shut down and would not restart. That was in October, still waiting to get it back. Support is totally useless and incompetent. This phone is a piece of crap, do not waste any money on it.
arun, 28 Dec 2010hey guys . these comments are all about to know the real performances of the phone. though pls... moreLasted me for minimum 2 days with frequent usage of twitter, messaging, e-buddy and facebook.
arun, 28 Dec 2010hey guys . these comments are all about to know the real performances of the phone. though pls... more My friend has had his Desire for a while now, but he only gets about a days battery use out of it.
Admittedly, he is constantly using it for internet, email, and Angry Birds. So if you're a light user, just basic stuff like texting, occasional Email etc then it should last a bit longer than a day.
I think you'll find most Smartphones these days will give you between 1 to 3 days battery depending on how much you use them.
My Nokia N8 will typically give me about 2 days moderate to heavy use, which includes Email, internet, music, video playback and the occasional game ( Real Golf 2011, which is superb )
