Moni, BD, 01 Nov 2010Phone of the year 2010 is HTC Hero.
But HTC Desire is newer & faster one.No it's not
What Mobiles Phone of the Year 2010 is the Desire not the Hero announced at the weekend.
Had mine for 3 months no such problems,Amazing phone that will meet your needs I cant fault it. you could find examples of any phone going faulty, As your looking at thousands of units being shifted to say this is a black mark against the desire is over reaction ,
after almost 5 months, i didnt face much probs, but it freezes on 2.2, eventhough it was perfect on 2.1/ im waiting for a firmware update, which may work better. i have AMOLED screen, so battery doesnt last long , but is better. the only probs are that it is freezing and second, it is rebooting after freeze. i havent faced any 3g prob, im happy. my phone went to service centre, now it works better. the HTC guys told me that updating it to a newer firmware, if possible or reloading the whole 2.2 may work. so pray for me, it works as fast :)
Used for 3 months and my HTC Desire does not give me any problems yet... :)

hi friends which is option to buy whether htc dseire or htc desire hd.
Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010It could have done if it wasn't done correctly.
As you have now changed the phone from the ... moreThe problems is NOT caused by rooting, and even Desire HD have these 3G-connection-problems without rooting.
Read this review of HTC Desire HD at http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/htc-desire-hd-717295/review?artc_pg=9
"We had a few issues with data connection though - on some occasions the phone would look like it has full signal but then you'd realise that those bars wouldn't change and you can't get any data - it was actually frozen, and we have no idea why."
Can someone please tell me is there a way to mark all my e-mails as read at once. Once a week my already read emails become unread again and my inbox is blocked with 99+. I have to list through all of them to fix this and it's annoying
TC, 01 Nov 2010Yes I have rooted, I had to root to be able to buy apps from the Android Market! Do you think ... moreIt could have done if it wasn't done correctly.
As you have now changed the phone from the normal spec it's difficult to say, but it may not be the phones fault.
Plenty out there that don't do this.
Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010Have you rooted?Yes I have rooted, I had to root to be able to buy apps from the Android Market! Do you think rooting is causing 3G-reciever to freeze and Desire to shur itself down?
Anonymous, 30 Oct 2010Never had these problems.... Buy this phone.
Strange that if this phone is that bad how do... moreMy phone also turns itself of now, I have had it for 2-3 months.
Many also have problems with the fact that Desire can not keep a stable 3G-connection, the reciever freezes for a minute or two far to often, and even Desire HD have exactly the same problem.
"Professional" reviewers only test the phone for a short period of time and without installing and using many apps and games, or even surfing the Internet long enough for the fatal problems on Desire to show themself. I can use my Desire for a half hour surfing Internet before the 3G-reciever starts freezing, and it took more than 2 months before it started to turn itself of. That is the reason why Desire is so high up on "professional" reviewers list over best phones, and most users blame bad network instead of blaming the real reason, HTC Desire, for frozen 3G-connections and the many new buyers have not had the phone for more than 2 months for Desire to start shut itself of.
x, 29 Oct 2010This is what I’ve noticed that is common on most forums and threads about the reboot problems:... more
i'm hearing friends with the HTC desire all having the same problem, after having the desire 3 months or so, it keeps switching itself off, mine is only a month old so its ok right now, but this sounds a serious flaw with the product
