Hi all, would people please stop moaning about the battery life and do a little research. Open your eyes and the solution is simple right in front of you. Once again, I'll repost my previous post. Please refer to the below and pass on to all other smart phone users. Also advise those who intend to get a smart phone too so that they know they can enjoy their battery.
HTC Desire was pefect for me but I was hesitant about the battery. I know all smart phones have poor batteries. I am never keen on the idea of charging the phone daily. Also I play games on my phone so I wanted a beast of a battery. Anyway with a little online research, I have found you can buy extended batteries on the internet. If you google search HTC Desire Mugen 3200 battery or Seidio Innocell HTC Desire, you will see batteries that are twice, three times or even four times stronger than the one that comes with the phone. So those worried about the battery life, her is the solution. Also if you type in you tube search engine, "your phone model" followed by the word "Extended Battery", you will see further info. Thank God I didn't get an iphone4. Thank God I am finally left Nokia. Thank God for Android and the Taiwan wonder HTC
Aishah , 11 Oct 2010Hey , I'm just wondering & needing some solid feedback . Hope you'll help me with it .
I'... moreIm NOT able to understand your Comparison.
Wildfire & Desire are Poles Apart.
Desire costs almost Twice of Wildfire and also Double in features.
Please ask for a opinion of 2 cells of same category.
Partha, 11 Oct 2010Thanx a lot for your opinion and suggestion. I listen to music a lot so sound quality is there... moreI havent used iPhone 4. So really cant comment on it.
However, poor battery feature in HTC Desire is mainly due to Android OS & it's Applications.
So N8 would be a great option. Nokia is always famous for better battery performance no matter how much we use it.
I was using Nokia E-72 before Desire and battery was just AWESOME. So looking at your usage, Nokia would be perfect buy for you.

mani, 11 Oct 2010Hi, I am planning to buy smartphone. Not able to deside which one to buy...HTC Desire or Sa... moreGet Galaxy as it's much better as specs. It's superior to any smartphone at this time. The only issue with Galaxy is the plastic material quality, which is very cheap, at this level HTC is much better, also as ergonomy, design and feeling.
In my previous post with various queries, I forgot to add that despite the Desire not having DivX/XviD, does it matter? Will it affect watching videos on our phone? If so, are we able to install it or a piece of software that can play such videos?
Hey , I'm just wondering & needing some solid feedback . Hope you'll help me with it .
I'm getting a new phone soon & having doubts between HTC Wildfire & HTC Desire .
Which would you recommend though ?
Thanks though ! :D
Geet Singh, 11 Oct 2010Hi Partha - Seeing your usage criteria...this phone is not meant for U. Im myself using HTC... moreThanx a lot for your opinion and suggestion. I listen to music a lot so sound quality is therefore a major factor, and I also browe the net almost the entire day. So I need good battery. Can you suggest me a phone? I have some preferences. iPhone 4/ N8/ Galaxy S. Can you plz tell me which best suits my uses. Regards.
I can't sync my phone with my PC. Please advise. I have tried several times. I need to do this as I want to personalise my SMS tones.
Out of curiousity, what size SD cards do you all have in your Desire? I removed the 4 GB one supplied with the phone and have inserted an 8 GIG one.
Androidmarket aside, where can I download a wide selection of Android games? Please tell me from your experience.
I will buy a newer digital camara in December but do you think that a future Android update will make our Desire run HD on 1080p?
Finally, is there a way to sort out the SMS messages like what I was used to on my Nokia? I am never going back to Nokia I must stress. What I mean is SMS sorted by Inbox, Sent, Outbox, Drafts etc.

If u r based out of India....then GPS - Why?? we do not have that equipped GPS here and above that No need of GPS atleast in India on current scenarios.
Anyways....if U want to use Lots of GPS & Net then follow my below advise....as More GPRS usage(GPS is also using GPRS) Over Heats the Phone.
This is Indeed a SmartPhone...a very god phone..class apart...more elegant that iPhone....but then few things are to be compromised which mainly comprises of limited GPRS usage('coz of Over heating & battery life consumption).
