My HTC Desire has gone into "Safe Mode" and also showed "problem loading gadget". I noticed that 3rd Party widgets are not showing. In this mode, most times the Ringer Volume, Recent Apps, Home Screen and Leap View are constantly swapped around causing the phone to vibrate and the MENU button refuses to work/function. I've done FACTORY RESET more than 11times... Can someone please HELP ME OUT.

are we able to create albums in the gallery? i cant seem to find anyway to do that... all pics on the sd card are displayed in the same album regardless of how u sort them into different folders on the memory card...
To be fair, this is probably the worst phone ive had.
Took 4 minutes to boot, music player without equalizer, no hot-swap for memory card, can't edit music tags in music player, sucky battery and camera.
On the other hand it was awesome to browse with, but that's pretty much it.

1) Android System info for all the info u want about ur phone.

Its coz of proximity Sensor so that while ur on call ur cheeks don't get in contact with the screen. but if u want to work on ur phone while ur on call..try double tapping the screen..should work..Don't have Desire ..but give it a try and see.
I've had the Desire for just over 2 weeks and I've been very happy with it. It's very fast and the HTC Sense UI makes it so easy to customise. The camera, music player, photo gallery & web browsing are all great. I would definately recommend this phone.

TC, 29 Sep 2010You miss my point. I have already moved all apps to the sd-card but the problem is that all ap... moreThat is correct. Even if you move the apps to SD card, there are still a small amount left in the phone memory. However, this small amount is on average less than 0.5MB. Having a total internal memory of 148MB, this allows us to have more than 100 apps easily on the phone.
I do however agree on the point that more internal storage would be better served on Desire. There are certain apps that you may prefer to run from the phone memory. This fills the internal storage quickly.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2010If you skip a few large non-movable apps, like Nimbuzz, then you can move almost all apps to S... moreYou miss my point. I have already moved all apps to the sd-card but the problem is that all apps still need to install some parts on the internal memory so it is impossible to install more than 100 apps on the phone because the available internal meory is only 136 mb. Even if I, you or anybody, move ALL apps to the sd-card they ALL still leave parts on the small 136 mb internal memory, and that limits the amount of apps that can be installed. Why not tell the truth about this, HTC made a big misstake when they installed this small internal memory. The point of having a remoweable sd-card is to be able to REMOWE it and put another one in... but when I install my apps on sd-card I have to have that specific sd-card in my phone all the time so HTC Desire does not really have a "removeable" sd-card.

You can NOT installed Froyo on computer n then on mobile, otherwise everybody on the earth would have done that, if it was so easy.
Also, I also updated Froyo, it WONT install on phone memory, it is 139 MB I suppose when U bought it, and it will remain the same even after updating to 2.2 too.
So do not worry and enjoy the 2.2 update.
A suggestion, do not download via GPRS, as it will take too long and over heats the phone, as I didnt have a WIFI handy at that moment and downloaded thru GPRS.

Just bought the HTC Desire and its a dream to use the phone, however, their service sucks in India... Its Pathetic.... I had a question which the guy at HTC could not answer kept me on the hold and then disconnected the phone.....very sad...
Please help me all you fellow users.
The Phone prompts me for two types of System software update. The first message says that States that " Your phone is up to date, There are no updates available for your phone" The second message says " A System update is available... Update : Android 2.2 and HTC Sense update 93.2 MB"
My question is :
1) Can i get update the phone to Android 2.2 from the Computer by first downloading through internet on the phone and then upgrading it on the Phone"
2) If 1st choice is not avaialble then, can i download it on the SD card or i have to download it on phone memorey only ?
3) If if take action no.2 then after upgrading the phone.. can i delete the upgrade from phone memory or it will remain on the phone memory
