TC, 28 Sep 2010How did you install 100 plus apps/games, I have app2sd and I move all apps that does not autom... moreIf you skip a few large non-movable apps, like Nimbuzz, then you can move almost all apps to SD. If that is not enough, you can use alternative apps that are movable (I don't have to).
I'm not going to list all my apps here, but in general, almost all games I play (Angry birds, Gameloft Games, Fruit Pirate, Jewels, etc...) are on SD card. Similarly, the apps I use (RockPlayer, Laputa, ES File Explorer, Google Sky Map, AndroZip, Barcode Scanner, etc, etc...) are all on SD.
On average, the apps are 2-3MB large. If there is one that you absolutely need, but it is still non-movable, you can send a message to developer requesting him to update the application so that it can be moved.

thanks for the reply...well i dnt have ICICI CC i hve CITI Cr card...so will have to buy... moreThe battery is a concern.
On my Nokia E-72, GPRS was 24 hrs own and Ovi/Nokia messaging service was working 24 hrs a day and making my email work & NO battery issue even if I do not charge for 2 days.
BUT in HTC Desire, Battery is a Problem. It doesnt conk off very soon, but yes, if charged fully and used for fair amount of calling & GPRS usage in a day, then it needs charging by the end of the day.
So, I keep my GPRS OFF quite often when not using it in order to use the phone.
Other than that, I was a BIG FAN of Nokia E series, but after working on HTC Desire & then on Android, its a BIG TIME entertainment too.
Every handset has few Pros & Cons.
Pros are many - like I have mentioned before in this column, Touchscreen, Android 2.2 SLED/AMOLED....
Cons - Battery Life and "a bit" of heat on battery area felt when used GPRS for long.
hi every body..i ve this problm wth my htc desire since few days,,,that when i try connect a call the screen turned off till the time the call is completed,,nothing worked during this time,,no button,,even the phone cant got off with power button,,it turn to normal as soon as th call is ended..plz help me fix this prolem,,thx
How do you bar unwanted callers in htc HD2 or touch diamond phone
Is there a closed user group facility so that others may not have access to us
Does anyone know, the next upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbred will increase the Desire's video recording quality?
Within a 60"recording,it lags almost 4-5 times if the fps is lower than 24(which is very often even in sunny weather).I'm very disappointed.

Andy, 14 Sep 2010Can anybody advise on how to forward sms? How about sending of business card? I am unable to u... moreJust tap & hold on to the message you want to forward and a function box will appear with the forward function.
What a fantastic stable phone! Using it 1 month. Installed 100+ apps/games. Never had a crash. Wifi is very stable. Browsing is comfortable. The screen is very sensitive (takes a bit of time to get used to). Comes pre-loaded with great Sense widgets. Battery life could be better. With Froyo the phone shows no lag whatsoever, even opening all apps after each other. Camera is decent. HD Video recording could be better (low fps). Music and video quality is great. Speaks are crap. GPS navigation is flawless. Overall rating 9/10. Very happy with this phone!

Desire, 27 Sep 2010Hi, anyone in the UK own a Desire on the Orange network? If so have you got the Froyo update y... moreI've got the Desire locked on Orange, exactly same situation as you. No updates as of yet. Software version still on 184.108.40.206 except I haven't missed any updates to my phone, none of which came through ...we are still supposed to be getting it soon (supposedly this week) there was some sort of minor update as you said which apparently, Orange are trying to rectify.
That's all I've heard! =)
Hi, anyone in the UK own a Desire on the Orange network? If so have you got the Froyo update yet?
I have the Black version running the older software 220.127.116.11, there was a minor update a few months back but I didn't get it as my phone is locked to Orange, the software version was 18.104.22.168 (i think). Apparently this was important and I read on Orange's website that Froyo update will only be possible on phones running 22.214.171.124, yet they didn't bother with it back when it was released by HTC. Anyone with a Black Orange branded Desire got the 2.2 update yet?
