m1l4d, 15 Sep 2010Yeah sure, SE fanboy.i am an SE fanboy and also an htc fanboy n specially htc desire n i have used both phones :)
[deleted post]It will have to depend on your preference and lifestyle.
They have the same speed based on specs. Some may say that Desire is slightly faster. Some even say Galaxy S is very laggy.
Galaxy S has a bigger and more beautiful screen. The colours are more appealing.
Desire is slightly more pocketable, and still possible for one-hand use. It is rather impossible for a comfortable one-hand use for Galaxy S, for average hand size.
Desire has camera flash, which may come in handy if you often hang out with your friends and likes to take casual shots.
Galaxy S, however, can produce slightly better image quality in the day.
Desire has HTC Sense, which is arguably the best UI in the market now. It is very powerful, yet user-friendly.
Desire has a louder speakerphone, so talking on phone is a pleasure experience. In fact, according to GSM Arena's review, Desire's speakerphone is rated Excellent while Galaxy S is rated Below Average.
Galaxy S has a bigger internal memory.
[deleted post]both are very good mobile phones but i think xperia x10 is a better phone with its multimedia capabilities
[deleted post]Galaxy S. Has WiFi 802.11 n. Very usefull for data traffic. Also has a bigger and nicer display.
plz help everyone. iv got problem on capturing video. its not working. i juz bought my new htc desire a week already. picture capturing is no problem. help me how to troubleshoot video capturing. its not really working...
I've heard that the HTC Desire develops a problem of self-rebooting every few minutes, after a couple of months of usage.
The only solution to this being the replacement of the Motherboard, for which the Phone has to be sent to HTC.
Has anyone faced such problems in India? And how's the HTC support in the country?
Gud morning, How can I transfer applications from the phone to my SD card, what is the procedure?? I already updated my Desire to Froyo 2.2....
Kiyu, 15 Sep 2010Oh sorry! I think I went around your answer and made a weird question out of it. Um, what I'v... moreIf you mean transfer file from phone to SD, aka back up data, then no, you can't. If you mean simply just drag files from computer to SD card, then of course yes.
ojay, 15 Sep 2010very weak battery system, can't use it for a day without charging.Hi all, would people please stop moaning about the battery life and do a little research. Open your eyes and the solution is simple right in front of you. Once again, I'll repost my previous post. Please refer to the below and pass on to all other smart phone users. Also advise those who intend to get a smart phone too so that they know they can enjoy their battery.
I will be getting my first HTC phone at the end of this month or at the latest, the end of October. The HTC Desire was pefect for me but I was hesitant about the battery. I know all smart phones have poor batteries. I am never keen on the idea of charging the phone daily. Also I play games on my phone so I wanted a beast of a battery. Anyway with a little online research, I have found you can buy extended batteries on the internet. If you google search HTC Desire Mugen 3200 battery or Seidio Innocell HTC Desire, you will see batteries that are twice, three times or even four times stronger than the one that comes with the phone. So those worried about the battery life, her is the solution. Also if you type in you tube search engine, "your phone model" followed by the word "Extended Battery", you will see further info. Thank God I didn't get an iphone4. Thank God I am finally leaving Nokia. Thank God for Android and the Taiwan wonder HTC.
hi all, 15 Sep 2010Sorry, but I didn't quite get your question. Do you mind rephrasing?Oh sorry! I think I went around your answer and made a weird question out of it. Um, what I've tried to say was; if you have upgraded your phone without files in it yet, is it still possible to transfer files in the SD card after it has been upgraded?
I am using HTC desire since April. I am staying in Germany. I bought the phone from Guenstiger.de with D1 branding. But the phone is unlocked. Till now I have not received the Froyo update. Please help....
Pretty impressive toy but sucks seriously on battery life. Froyo rocks.
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2010xperia x10 with 2.1 would be better device than desires 2.2 and samsung galaxy SYeah sure, SE fanboy.

hi all, 14 Sep 2010I won't really say so. Like I said, I do not have the 3G problem, so I can't really judge what... moreya, cannot backup in android2.2 So, how to backup data or need to re-type all the data again after resset? cannot believe the technology is going backward.
i face problem in new sync, as it cannot update calender and all the contacts duplicated.
i got htc desire is very best mobile and very fast internet over all best mobile
Desire is the future of smartphones. It is very fresh and new product, so we must wait till things settle together. It MUST have 3d Accelerator, It MUST have no pushable buttons, and if dispay increases on 4.3 inches, resoluton must be higher not the same( for example HTC Evo for that display it is too small resolution) Other thing it MUST be built like HTC legend or Hero, not from plastic, and please use SLCD instead of amoled, it is far more usable, that is how htc desire HD should look like, thnx and thumbs up HTC!you can do it
