For very intensive usage, it can handle all the tasks you need, but you need to accept that you will have to charge it daily.
Stability is very good. The RAM management follows Android logic and is quite fine. The internal memory is good for about 80-100 apps, which is extended with the new firmware (allowing to move some apps to SD card).

I am using HD2 since January'10 but thinking for Desire, due to hardware issue I'm to get a free replacement either HD2 or Desire [if I want].
Never used Android before so a bit confused, will be using this phone for work and social; intensive & all-time connected to GPRS/EDGE [no 3G in India], multiple mail a/c, exchange server, outlook syncing, browsing, applications, online payments and booking, Social networking, Office editing mainly Excel. How is hte battery life as compared to HD2 and stability, / handling RAM and on board user memory?

and the volume is low..... if u wanna buy, buy but first try it out from any shop,
HTC has made it official that from now HTC Desire will be sold not with AMOLED display but with S-LCD display.I think from the image the quality has certainly fallen.I wanted to buy a HTC Desire but due to change in the screen display i have change my mind. Now i am going for the Samsung Galaxy S even if it lacks a flash for the camera.Recently the Samsung Galaxy S has been voted as the best smart phone in Europe.Which tells you that its a phone worth buying.Really sad that HTC has change the screen on the Desire.Wanted to buy the phone for my wife as its compact. But now not worth it.Going for two Samsung Galaxy S.
do u all know why SE launched such an all rounder functions phone without MT and NEW OS?
SE had a huge first step in the android world... all the boring UI of smartphones (except HTC) this made the world think that android phones are boring!
SE launched this smartphone in order to create a new look to the smartphones. also its not a BUISNESS phone like blackberry, this phone can be for teens too.
REASONS FOR OLD OS.
SE made the UXP a total new one, adding uniQue timescape and mediascape. and a whole new UI. but there was problem! this whole can be customized at only 1.6!
REASONS FOR NO MT.
SE developed it but they changed the whole hardware and software compactibilities... so MT could not fit in this UXP. so MT was sacrificed!
but SE gave a new look to android platform. so many people became fan of SE!
now AS SE made the 2.1 configuratiuon for its UXP, a new UXP was also added with some major-minor changes and with a new look! making it the most uniQue phone in this series........
solitiare, 16 Aug 2010yeah... back button problem is one of the prominent problems.. faced it almost. had problems. ... moreWhen Froyo is out, I'll ask some users who experienced it and will ask some who experienced X10 with Eclair so I can finally decide what to buy :)) Well that kind of problems is not really serious we can live with it anyway
