The idea is to transfer the bulk of data to SD card and spare space in internal memory.
The blackberry bold can't even hope to compete...seriously. Do yourself a favor and get an Android phone. I jumped ship to the G1 almost 2 years ago when launched and haven't had a desire for a BlackBerry since.
guys can anyone please tell me the price of the htc desire in india(delhi).............
please its imp. for me quick......
I think you should make a separate spec. page for the 2.2 update, it actually brings a lot more to the phone when discussing memory for apps, speed, video recording, adobe flash performance etc.

How can you move things to save to the SD card? I cant seem to do it. Im not sure where anything (pictures, apps) is saving. Its saying my phone memory is nearly full and i seem to have near full SD card space. Although surely I've downloaded way more apps than the 512mb internal memory could take?

ManikJ, 04 Aug 2010I need to buy a new phone very soon...
I've narrowed it down to HTC Desire and the Galaxy S i... moreDesire already has the Android 2.2 update. The unbranded phones in Europe have started to receive the update last Sunday.
The update brings also the HD recording in Desire.
Low Rom is not a problem, because you can move the apps to SD card (again, thanks to the update).
The low visibility under sunlight remains the issue for all Amoled screens.
Since Desire is also a lot cheaper than Galaxy S, I'd recommend Desire.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2010Battery life is a little bit on the down side. If you surf a lot you will feel it more however... moreTask killer was not needed everytime. It drains battery. Search google for that.

1 more question...how much memory is left in the system partion after the froyo update???
I need to buy a new phone very soon...
I've narrowed it down to HTC Desire and the Galaxy S i9000.
However, I can't seem to choose between the two.
I'd like views from someone who has used them both.
I read that the biggest disadvantages of the Desire are it's lack of HD recording, lower ROM and low visibility in sunlight.
Just how much do these affect the general usage?
I rarely take videos. Though I'd like good still-image capture.
Also, when is the Android v2.2 update expected for Desire?
