Does anyone checked the battery life against spec. My desire is far from that. Th... moreBattery specs are always too optimistic in the manufacturer reports.
Google for some battery saving tips, for example don't use live wallpapers.
If the phone lasts more than a day, then it's OK.
Ronak, 10 Jul 2010Should i buy the Desire or shuld i wait for something better to come along. it wuld be my firs... moreWait. a) Next version will probably have front video camera - which means you can do FaceTime once (if!) Google implement it in Android. b) There are rumours of a slide out keyboard version. All said, if current model suits your needs, go for it. HTC Desire has got rave reviews across the board. (see our mini review at http://www.fonebox.com )
Does anyone checked the battery life against spec. My desire is far from that. The android system "drain" 96% of the battery. Is this normal? Thanks

can you do me a favour my friend? on your HTC Desire, can you watch you tube or listen to some audio with the volume level up to maximum and tell me if the speaker distorts on it? and also when listening to a phone call on the earpiece at full volume, i have tried 3 handsets and they all did it, apart from that i wanted to keep my Desire, but wont because of it
Not so long ago i used to have a desktop, it's configuration read
1.1 Ghz Celeron Processor

bubble_pad, 10 Jul 2010Does anyone knows whether this phone can do multitasking like when i'm using one program i can... moreYeah man it has multitask. You can swap between the 6 most recently used apps. When you go from one app to another it just freezes the background one, so that when you go back to it itll be exactly the same as you left it.
To do this, hold the home key :)

Hello friends, htc desire is a great phone but it,s battery life is fair not excellent.
Most of the specs are good, but I can't believe that the video recording isn't hd. Lol, but that doesn't matter.
It's a good phone, but I just hate the design, well, I hate most of the HTC phone designs tbh. But that's just my preference, I'm going to get the Samsung Galaxy S. I was already going to get it though.

Waiting makes little sense, because there always will be better phones coming in the future. So, you may end up waiting for the best phone in the next 10 years...
