Franklyn - Sydney, 05 May 2010If HTC claims this phone is Iphones killer, don't you think it should also come with a minimum... more"If HTC claims this phone is Iphones killer, don't you think it should also come with a minimum 32Gig Storage space - Just like Iphone,Sony Ericsson X10,Nokia N8 and the list goes on!!"
--> there are a few things wrong with wat u hv said. 1st of all, the x10 does not hv 32gb of storage. 2nd u wrote "claims" when actually it is an iphone killer (along with a few hundred other phones which r superior to iphone)
what iphone is:
-its a great moneymaking device for apple
-it is a closed system (no flash, 3rd party apps must be approved by apple...)
-its over-hyped and well advertised (like all apple products)
what iphone is not:
-its not a good phone (multiple features are still lacking and in america at least, it has poor reception, due to a combination of at&t which apple chose to work with and the impractical design apple used on iphone. it looks good, but its not a practical design)
-its not any of the words apple use to describe it (such as revolutionary, breakthrough... u know the rest)
-it is not a phone that other phones shud be compared to. im really tired of the term "iphone-killer" bcos so many phones are better than iphone. phones shudnt be compared to the iphone every time a new 1 comes out. they shud compared to other great phones (that does not include the apple iphone)
Hats off to HTC.......Great and best android running phone as of now.......
X10 a complete failure....I think Sonyeric...needs to work hard .....
[deleted post]hello Hamid,
If you are really 8 years old then try other phones as well before judging them, you will get a lot of experience and choices to pick from..(just don't say X10 is better because somebody you know bought it)..with more research you will have more knowledge for your debate..we don't mean bad for you but you sometimes irritate people with the same slogan..tq
Word on the cyber street says a firmware update will give this phone 720p video recording?
Anybody know the fps?
Had my HTC desire for a week now, and been very impressed so far. Pretty hard to fault except I would say that the screen outside does not seem that good.
Other than that its by far the best phone I've had. Like it much more than my girlfriends iPhone 3G, and not being tied to iTunes etc. Highly recommended.
[deleted post]actually the X10 is garbage... honestly. no multitouch? have you even had your hands on either device? and the X10's 'splines' are pretty to look at, but functionality is the cost.
This phone is almost perfectly complete. My only issue and the sole reason why I wont purchase it is the weak battery. For this reason I will buy the uglier Samsung Beam. For those who have this - especially heavy users, how often do you charge it? I dont want a scenario where I am carrying a spare battery. Nor do I want to be carrying a charger 24/7 or leaving it in the charger. My current phone is the Nokia E72. I charge this about once every three, four days. I need a beast of a battery new phone.
Cameron, 05 May 2010I have owned many smartphones (18 in fact) over the past 6 years and have much experience with... moreHi Cameron, can you tell me please what games did you install on it?(if you ever)
hahaha x10 is the best phone?well we understand how much happy you are with your touchscreen phone but next time put your emotions aside before saying something
Today HTC Desire is best Android Phone in Market today by far. We have to wait and see the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 how would be compare to this phone.
It look like the Samsung has few advantages over Desire but problem is Galaxy is made of cheap plastic and no flash.
[deleted post]The difference between HTC Desire and Sony is that I do not have to wait 8 months. Plus same Article say:
"Adding HD video recording via firmware upgrade is certainly surprising but a similar software update was rumored recently about the HTC Desire as well."
Anonymous, 05 May 2010worst phone is sony erricsson x10chill.... i was being sarcastic to hamid, i am not an actual fan of x10 lol....
kevin, 05 May 2010This phone sucks. i bought it yesterday and it havent a equalizer by the mp3 player. And the G... moreEqualizers add distortion to music and that would ruin the crystal clear quality produced by the DSP chip on the Desire which is quite frankly amazing. GPS works perfectly on my Desire, I get a lock in 5 seconds or less.
This Phone here is absolutely great, no doubt about it.
But, what i ask is - how and why did it take so long for HTC to even come up and compete with iPhone ? Even though the iPhone is getting old, the iPhone is stille the flagleader of touchphones. The OSX system is 100% functional with very little errors (in that case it will be switched with a new iPhone) Further more. The iPhone 4G, which we know very little about, should be the absolutely conquerer of the world due to phones. Problem is, they cant win the battle without Java :-)
Everyone who dislikes this phone due to design, functionallity or whatever - is just dumb.. end of story
Lyon, 05 May 2010lol this dude is such a joker. how old are u? 8? have you received proper education before? x1... morehello,
guys in this forum, try to explain to this 2 goofs that this isn't a SE X10 forum and they are not welcome here, except if they have some solid facts that X10 is better, they should worship their fantasy god(se),this guys just make people confuse, its not worth reading their comments...tq
This phone us without a doubt the best I have used - note I'm a bit if a phone addict therefore have been through a few over the years. The screen clarity and resolution is fantastic, its as responsive as the iPhone. One problem I've always had with touchscreens is the keyboards and being able to type accurately on them, I would place the cough cough iPhone at the top in terms of speed and ease but the Desire is a very close second.
Camera = great
Apps = great and growing everyday
Ease if use = fantastic
I have owned many smartphones (18 in fact) over the past 6 years and have much experience with them. I include the iPhone (which I hated) and a SE X1 (pretty poor). The HTC Desire is without doubt the best ever. The screen is glorious, clear and bright, feather touch response, the device is fast and responsive and looks really sleek too. I have not experienced any problems at all and any limitations are down to the operating system that will be upgraded regularly in any case.
I have as much storage as I want with SDHC cards and I can customise the screens and download thousands of free and unrestricted apps. Multi-task, Flash integration, Bluetooth... everything. The camera is way better than any HTC before too. My advice... BUY IT!
