[deleted post]you can read Google Nexus review, it's the same phone anyway:)
Having had this phone for 2 weeks now I can put my hand on heart and say this is the best phone I have ever had now to say is it. A I phone killer well I don't like to make that comparison as the die hards who have I phones won't have a word bad said about it however this phone is exceptionally quick and very easy to use the camera and video are very good the web broker is electrically fast over wifi and very quick over 3g the media player is good and photo and video upload is a breeze and best of all is you can link all your contacts info all in one place Facebook Twitter Windows live Skype Flickr email would I recommend to buy you bet it is a brilliant phone hope this helps in some way kind regards - Ian
Had the Desire for a few days from Voda UK.
The phone is a great unit and the only thing I have found that lets it down is the sound quality from the rubbish speaker. Didn't use the phones as I like to listen to music/audio books via the speaker so am very disappointed from that point of view.
The rest of the phone is excellent. The 1GHZ processor is so fast you may want to chuck out your netbook!
Call quality is very good and the screen is beautiful. The colour quality is excellent and the touch is spot on.
Just let down by the sound so it is going back.
Maybe the next one will have stereo speakers!
It seems that everyone keep moaning about the speaker and sound. Well if you are going to use the supplied head phones then you will have issues in short they are crap. I am using sennheiser and it sounds great the bass is responsive even when hooked up to my hi-fi. As for the speaker when watching youtube you need to turn it down because it can get quiet loud.
are u going to kill us
hurry up man
we ll waiting for you guys

Any idea, when gsmarena will write review? i'm quite sure i want to buy this, but i always read gsmarena reviews before buying to be sure
for those who have either used or own the desire, is there much of a difference between this and the legend? im looking to purchase one or the other and need some help in deciding. cheers
finally, a credible alternative for the iPhone. It has been a long wait; but now I have ordered my Desire. Thanks HTC. Now would GSMArena please publish the review quickly?
i just got the phone its really awesome! but the music quality could have been better and having problem with uninstalling program. internet is good
Got my Desire on Thursday.
Absolutely impressed with this phone after two days of use. It is extremely quick to browse, the screen is breathtakingly sharp and bright. Love the way your "People" page links your contacts up with facebook, twitter etc. The camera is much better than everyone has been saying, more than adequate and the video is very impressive too! Maps page with link to Street View is beautiful on the screen and the Google Market is pretty comprehensive, and I'm sure even Apple fans wouldn't be too disappointed with this.
If there were any complaints they would be the battery life. I know you can't really expect anymore from this kind of performance, but it really doesn't last much longer than 24 hours. Also having only one speaker on the back of the phone means the spound is quite tinny when watching a video and not having the speaker facing you. Very small complaints though for what is an outstanding phone. 9.5 / 10 for me.
you cant say that iphone is better or even desire.
because these are too deffrent things that you cant comparison those phone together.
its about what you want from your phone .

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2010Another great phone ny htc. Great OS, great looks, great features and specs. Theres always a B... moreThe iPhone is great as I do own one myself & I love it, but I have already ordered my Desire and expect it next week. The fact stands that no other phone has scared Apple as much before as the HTC Desire. It scared Apple so much that they rearranged their iPhone HD/OS4.0 combined launch this Summer to a last minute OS4.0 press preview on 8th of April. Coincidence that this came a day after HTC advised the final official launch date of the HTC Desire in the US on the 8th of April? Search the threads and you will see one after the next iPhone users trading up to the Desire. My wife is super keen on inheriting my iPhone so it won't be traveling too far as it is still a milestone in technology.
Guys, expansys states that this is HTC DESIRE A8181, is it the right model?
iels2003, 10 Apr 2010Update ? I didn't found any on HTC site and my version is 1.15.405.4 is this a latest one . ... moreYup, that's the latest firmware... My advice to you is to go to androidforums.com and ask about this problem there just to see if other Desire owners have this issue and does anyone know how to solve it... And you can also email htc support if you don't find your answer in androidforums... Cheers
