Features available in Wildfire
1) Touch-sensitive controls
2) Predictive text input
3) Turn-to-mute and lift-to-dim-out a call

I will be using the phones mostly for internet usage like facebook and for emails. and games
will the processor of desire be better or wildfire is ok for my kinda usage.

Desire :- 1 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset
576 MB RAM; 512 MB ROM

WildFire :- 528 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset

Each and every one here is entitled to his/her own Opinion about htc desire. and we will be doing well if we'll respect each other's opinion..
for no one has the right to question or ask for any explanation why my opinion is my opinion and ur opinion is ur opinion.. if anyone disagrees, its his/her problem...

No point of arguing... Let's all be at peace.. All of us here like desire...

Mike, 03 Apr 2011No never said i was an expert, I'm jut giving evidence that disproves your post. Sorry abou... morecheck every android, htc, and countless forums, there are "some" reports that pre-versions of gingerbread are still "unstable" so why risk "my" phone? as i've said, good for you mate, i'm happy for you, and again obviously you're an expert because you know more things that i do and you can back everything up, but why the angst? wana argue? hehe this is the wrong spot dude, htc users are a sensible lot, we should just get along ok? peace man since you're an htc desire guy i'll let this pass and i'm not gonna reply to you're post, you win:)

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2011Scratch resistant and fingerprint resistant display? Or is this the kind of fingerprint magnet? It's not fingerprint resistant but truly scratch resistant. I have been using it for 8 month now and not even a single scratch.

pinoy from rizal, 02 Apr 2011i guess you're an expert then, everybody follow mike's advice, root all your precious htc desires!p.s.

You still haven't quantified your earlier posts that gingerbread is unstable, waiting for the proof.

I have supplied 2 sources to prove otherwise, so come on where is your evidence

Sorry about that, you clearly thought you were the expert.....lol

The only time you will get an unrecoverable USB Brick is when you get issues flashing radios.

How you can say Gingerbread is unreliable and unstable is beyond me. Anyone thinking of flashing should read up on the subject on xda or android forums then make an informed decision.

Your reaction to my post has just confirmed the sort of person you are.

pinoy from rizal, 01 Apr 2011well good for you then, but i still won't risk it, i'll wait for the official update and give ... moreWhat's the risk?????

Rooting doesn't cause issues, then using CWM you can create a Nandroid back up, so if the flash of a new rom fails you can restore.

Gingervillain is very stable and gets regular updates/enhancements.

Why do you think you carrier update will be any better???

How many times do we read about an update being pulled because it breaks phones. By the time you get your update. Google have built it, the phone manufactor has played with it, the carrier has played with it and at each stage more bloatware has been added.

Gingervillain is based on AOSP and has been developed by 1 developer.

Still if you like HTC Sense and lack of internal space as oppossed to a phone that looks and acts how you want, better battery life through more efficient kernels (overclocked and undervolted) then like you say good for you then :)

The only real risk when using mod roms is when you flash new radios, so don't do it if your worried.

Mr. Kundu, 01 Apr 2011hello .....i am confused b/w samsung wave s8500 and htc desire....which is better ...i m pla... moremy sister has the samsung wave s8500... and i have the htc desire.. so i can give u a hands on review about these 2..

Samsung wave S8500 has the Super Amoled and the screen really speaks for itself.the touchscreen is very responsive.. nice browser and a nice you tube app for vids. nice sleek looks...but one of its downside is its OS which is BADA.. the UI and menu has nice looks but the Bada App store isn't that progressive so ul be stuck with same apps for a long time..one more thing is it has low RAM.. so multi tasking is very limited..
and in my sister's case, her wave frequently hangs..
but other than that, its still a good working phone for her...

Htc Desire.. well the name speaks for itself..great clear screen.. Sense UI is really cool..
and Android OS makes it completely Superb.. powerful browser, multi-tasking is desire's way of life..
the Android Market is freakin progressive(check the article of Gsmarena about its progress..ul see)..

well..in the end it will still be ur choice..depends on what suits you.. good luck!
