I earlier heard that it has st u8520 chipset...but now I found that it has the st u8500 chipset instead of the 8520 in the benchmark tests

Instead of Quattro and HTC Desire 501 go n get Lenovo s890. I'm using the S890. The best thing abt the phone is the amazing battery and camera.

Good for medium end gaming.
Smart processing of applications.
OTG support is availbale -tested.
Camera qulaity - compared to this range phone it is good.
Wifi & hotspot working properly.
Bluetooth speed is super.
Data connectivity is good in sim 1.
Power saving:- Used 3g for continous 5.5 hours battery backup.
Normal usage 25 hours battery backup.
RAM is good for more than 4 application ,used at a time.
Screen quality is HD like format.
Good video qulaity of different resolution formats.
No waves formed in dark.
Camera qulaity good in low light also.
Good HTC apps are available to explore.(HTC media blink,face unlock,NFC,etc.,)
FUll Chargig completed with 2 hours
Easy to hold
Bad:-
Processing speed is some what less compared to samsung mobiles.
Sensitiy is little bit low.
Camera with flash is showing very minute dark.
Not all High definition games are supported (Temple Run 2 is good)
Three buttons in the bottom is less sensitive(Not too much to worry)
Some applications are need to searched for so much time.
Back cover is hard to open.
Overall it can be rated as 7.5 at this price tag.
Dont buy online ,go for retailers.

I bought it yesterday from spice hot spot @ 15.4k with screen guard and softwares free...only blue was available and it looks great than other colors..
build quality is awesome and both the camera r very good and pictures have details...
screen size is perfect and display is crisp and bright....better than samsung galaxy grand displays....
speed is average and antutu benchmark score is above 11k...p;ayed temple run 2 and subway surfer with ease and no lags....speaker volume is average and not too loud....dual sim management is good and if u wish u can close a slot....
only con with me is the Battery...drains out quickly...hope it would improve after a week use....

There are 3 colors in the market: Choco Brown, Lemon Green and some blue (don't remember the name exactly)
If you like light colors go for the choco brown one. The green one is a little annoying with the designs. The blue one is ok if you like dark colors.
The waves dont appear for me. Not sure whether it is a hardware issue. The waves appear whenever there is a magnetic interference. Keep away from microwaves and other radiation emmiting objects.
Not sure how much the retailers are offering you the set at, but try ebay. The prices have been slashed there.
