Anonymous, 27 Mar 2015Any chance of this HTC DESIRE 610 to get Lilipop....?do not buy HTC desire 610. bad batter, bad ear phone and horrible charger
The screen is trash. It is sub-720p, which is inexcusable for a 4.7" screen. It's also made out of some cheap plastic, which distorts the image if you push down on it too hard. The viewing angles are also junk. If you look at the top of the screen from a low viewing angle you can see a light shining down, which presumably illuminates this garbage. If you display all black with the screen on, you can see a lightish band about a third of the way down. At the very bottom right corner (unless it is displaying light colors), you can see a lightish patch of pixels which should not exist. When the screen is off, you can see a textured pattern underneath the glass...er...plastic. The bottom line is, the screen on this thing is terrible!
While a phone in this price range can be excused for lacking certain sensors, the lack of a magnetometer is inexcusable. All compass apps will point North. Metal detector apps will read zero. Google Sky Maps will work in the vertical, but not horizontal. Some features of Google Earth and My Tracks won't work, but the Play Store will still let you install them, with no indication as to what the problem is.
As much as this phone costs on a GoPhone plan, you would be better off buying a BLU LTE phone on Amazon, and switching to one of T-Mobile's prepaid LTE plans.
If you are on a 2-year AT&T contract and paid nothing for this phone, this is why...
Since 9-10 months I am using this, It's very nice and very very good phone
Forget Samsung, and buy HTC.
The phone is great but when I click the camera it was just black screen but the buttons worked(the filter etc.) And now it doesn't even open it just say unable to start the camera. Does anyone know why it is like that?

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2015Any chance of this HTC DESIRE 610 to get Lilipop....?there is 90% chance that the Desire 610 will get the Android 5.0 Update. HTC is already working on ii, but you will have to wait some time because they need to test the device and prevent some bugs.
I got an htc desire 610 and after about 2 months it shut down and wont just start up again and the battery was fully charged before it went off so it was not a battery fault. could someone tell me how to get this problem fixed?
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2015hello is this phone duall sim or just one ..thanxDesire 610 - 1 sim card
Desire 601 - Dual sim card
I think (but i'm not sure) that Desire 610 and Desire 601 are the sam, only difference is the number of sim card slots. :) I have the single-sim version 610 and i'm very satisfied, except the quality of the camera. My previous phone Galaxy S 2 had BIG difference in the qualot, but after all it's just a phone, not proffesional camera.
Okay, so tomorrow I'm trading my original straightalk iPhone 5c, for Htc 610.
It takes nano, so would it work if I put my sim in it?
I have installed htc sync-manager in my pc but while connecting the phone to pc, usb could not recognized. What is the problem?
I purchased my Desire 610 last week and I'm very impressed with the device so far. A sidenote, I upgraded from an HTC Vivid which has a comparable resolution to this device so I was not concerned with the multiple reviews I read bashing the resolution. I do not use my phone for gaming and I rarely watch movies on it. The camera is passable for sharing photos via txt or on social media and there are some pretty decent built in effects for editing, if you're into that sort of thing. Basically, for the money this phone is outstanding. I knew I was buying a lower end smart device but I upgraded devices for the sole purpose of getting a device that would run KitKat and will hopefully be getting the Lollipop upgrade as well. I have only one complaint about this device...the limited 8gb memory and KitKat's inabbility to move apps to the SD card. There are roots available to change this feature, but I don't want to brick my new device. The KitKat OS takes up roughly 3.2 GB of the initial 8gb, so you basically have a little over half the memory for apps. So, if you can limit yourself to the barebones apps you really know you will be using, you'll love this device.
