Laura, 12 Jan 2016For those interested, the HTC Desire 626 has FM radio. I like most things about it except t... moreits current rom is kitkat. battery drains much more then other htc. i could not root the phone yet. i did not find the stock rom (.zip file) in internet. i completely disappointed
i have observed that the specification of the phone is customized by brands like htc, samsung etc for service providers. Cricketwireless is my experience where memory and processorof a phone were different then what is available in the market for the same model, i think there is subversion like i9303( just a dummy example) that you need to see.
How to open my front camera it will never work please reply me

I dropped it in the toilet and still no proble... moreI love my fone it's great.I see alot of ppl complaining bout HTC why buy it then talk down on it. Do your homework on it that way you don't mis lead other potential buyers about it enjoy
dansz, 13 Jan 2016Good phone easy to use fast and has a great camera I agree my husband bought me this fone bout two months ago so far so good it's a nice fone and if it acts up I just be prepared for another one enjoy.
I brought this mobile 5 months back.
Quality of mobile is great. Camera in HD mode is too good especially during day time, but u will feel it has an 2MP cam during night time. ok with front cam.
Volume level is too low (loud speaker) but u can experience quality sound, and with head phone it is awesome.
Battery is good initially. But now( >4 months) very bad. Battery life is hardly 8 hrs with net usage or games.
1GB ram is quite insufficient. Runs slow at times.
Finally i can say mobile is not up to the standard of what youth expects. can't handle roughly.
Garbage my HTC has a nasty bend in it ever since it was bought the phone heated up and cracked the battery life is a total dumpster fire
Js a wste of money to buy ths phn......not even a single update and poor battery backup.....Htc a garbag brand.....
I think this phone is great. The display is very beautiful (HD if you will) colors are crisp, can run alot of programs at once and never had my phone shut down or any unexpected running errors. Doesn't get too hot ive noticed, alot of phones i had got extremely hot for just running two apps in the background. The battery lasts me about 21hours when im heavily on it. (around 18-20hours it gets down to 30%-20%) the general rule for new phones is to let the battery die completely a couple times and that has improved my battery life.
Over all great phone.
For those interested, the HTC Desire 626 has FM radio.
I like most things about it except that it has two major drawbacks: firstly the pictures are grainy, i wasn't expecting that given the brand (adjusting the camera settings will help, and there are A LOT of options) Another problem is the sound (as in music playback) at high volume it's distorted and the bass it's almost nonexistent (I use AKG K350 and JVC HA-FR37 Marshmallow headphones). On a voice call the sound is more than ok.
Browsing on the web is ok and playing games is a bit laggy on intensive and demanding games (i managed to play Heartstone without a problem, maybe a bit of delay when existing a challenge/match). Youtube plays nicely and even having several applications on the background does not make it stop/stutter.
Battery life is quite ok for a smartphone, namely it lasts about a 10h with VERY intensive use (with the screen on a fairly high brightness), but average and below use will make it last almost 2 days.
Also i should mention that the software can be upgraded to Lollipop. It may be possible to upgrade it to Marshmallow, but i haven't tried that yet (i still have to install the latest upgrade from Lollipop)
Hope this helps.
