I am so disgusted with Amazon, Virgin Mobile and HTC. I bought the HTC Desire 816 and it has a manufacturing defect which causes flash photos to have a dense pink tint. I sent my phone to HTC for warranty repair and they sent it back (or maybe a new phone - I can't tell) in the same condition. Now I have paid Virgin $25 for a replacement and it's the same problem.
Amazon markets this phone as "A photo lover's dream." That's why I bought it. They also rejected my review of the phone. What the heck is going on?

My phone stopped working after 1.5 years of service. They told me its a board issue. to fix that i have to spend 8000Rs. Ok i spend like 24K on this thing already, and Now I need to spend 8K to continue its service. When I got in the HTC service center the customer care guy simply said "Sir, It has worked around this much time, now you have to buy a new one."
So concluding these things are made to be last for 1-2 years. So spend your money wisely.

Hi, I have bought Htc desire 816 on June & exactly 6 months time it start to give problem such as common issue of when my phone is on means its not getting charging .its only charging when my phone is switch off

Hi, I have bought Htc desire 816 on June & exactly 6 months time it start to give problem such as common issue of power switch is not working most of the time & getting heat at the same time. Display gets bright lines... I'm fedup of this phone now. Very sad... I have been using different models of Htc in last 6 years

Decent phone for the price, however device dates quickly with only 1.5Gb ram and 8Gb internal memory, starts to faulter after around a year.

hardy, 10 Nov 2015816 is dual sim or not tel me plz..HTC desire 816G is a ddual sim and HTC desire 816 is single sim sported phone.

Phone is good all but internal memory very low so after sumtimeve cannot update application

camera is not as good as expected...Picture quality is not good after transferring to laptop.. Storage problems...do not allow to store much data...battery life diminished after 1 year...its an average phone..
