Got this phone a week before. I have installed all apps and purchased 32 gb SD card. There have been almost 30 people who asked me about this phone after noticing in my hand. Looks awesome. Graphics are mind blowing. Better than my previous iPhone 4S. As fas as the battery life is concerned it's not upto the mark. It should have been 3000 mAh battery. Then too with a moderate usage it lasts for a day. Camera is mind boggling. Sound is a miracle in this phone. Wow! If you're addicted to browsing and using internet all day then you need to carry a portable charger along. So excluding the battery part this phone is awesome.

i have installed common apps like facebook, whatsapp, linkedin, outlook, skype etc. with these apps battery comes for 1 - 2 days
very good for composing emails as it is 5.5" screen. sound quality is good with stereo speakers.
the power and volume buttons are at left handside. i'm not happy with this. but overall, very good phone

But based on the response to this phon... moreYa it is a very nice phablet except the build quality of power button n volume rocker, I hope they will replace handset with a new one, but I m little bit scared about company warranty Conditions, I aware about "physical damage" but I didn't damage my phone.

With other colours, u will notice a lot of finger print ... moreI'd go for the black one for three reasons:
1. Dunno why but it seems like *everyone* has the white model.
2. I've seen the white model in some 2nd hand mobile markets already, and they're not looking so white anymore! Maybe their owners didn't take good enough care, but the white had "aged", difficult to describe but it had gotten a tint darker/dirtier?.
3. Because the phone also has a black bezel around the screen, all-black just looks better and will hide the bezels more.

HTC will give new piece in your case, i believe.
...BTW i am desperately waiting for my 816 and should receive the delivery tomorrow!

Purchased from croma at mega mall Mumbai (it's not my native place) on 11 July, on 12 July power button stop working, yes build quality of power button and volume rocker is very poor. On 14 Jul I submitted my phone to its authorised service centre at indore coz I resides near indore, service person says that phone will send by us to Mumbai service centre and whole process will take 10-15 days. I think it is a manufacturing fault. My question is how will they repair my phone coz whole unit is sealed, is there any chances that they replace my phone and give a new one?

I have been using this mobile for a month i havent faced any major issue but when i try to open mess i get mess not found error then it crashes and though i have set pattern for my phone it sometimes work or sometimes dont work
