AnonD-149253, 24 Jul 2015post lollipop update, initially i was a very happy user. But now i am facing following issues:... moreAt last, i rooted my 816!
Now after unblocking and rooting,i got 2Gb of phone memory which got reduced bu 0.5Gb after few app installations. But now the beauty is that i can get rid of stock apps as well, like kids mode, 7digit, etc.

am using htc desire 816g.am very happy.but the problem s 816 provides 13megapixel primary camera but that much of performance s not available..is any solution for that pls???

shoeb, 03 Aug 2015is it true?yeah, unfortunately its true. And the reason is that its installing just too many stock apps which you can't remove and will keep eating memory/cpu and your time! :)
But then not updating would also be stupid as you would miss lot of good features!

Is there official word from HTC if they will stop releasing updates post android 5.0?
In that case, i wouldn't hesitate going ahead and rooting it so that at least i can free up some space from the phone memory!

everything thing he/she wrote is absolotly right .. with htc u should never update ur phone

Hello!
I was using HTC Desire 816 in about 1 year.
My phone was really good ,everything fine and here is the crap ..
"Do not Update this phone to Lollipop" - Never !!!
After you update it you loose your phone ... hanging ,lagging terroble.
That's why i sell my if i was didn't update it i still will be with the device it's not bad.
I hope im help a bit to other owners of this HTC.
