Hello People,
I bought the phone today for 22k with Flip Cover in Mumbai (Vashi). I exchanged it with my Nexus 5 without giving a penny :-)
First impression of the phone is overwhelming. Its dual sim with GSM/CDMA. No NFC. Not sure about LTE/4G. Loud speakers are awesome, loud and very clear. Sadly, HTC supplies standard headphones with it. Not the ones which comes with HTC One. I remember these pair of headphones from HTC One V I owned. They are not very good but gets the job done. Low Bass but good clarity and loudness. Camera is just awesome. Selfies are so much better than Nexus 5. The flip cover is not manufactured by HTC. its third party and does not feel very premium but at the same time its also not very cheap. Good part is that it works as power saving (Screen goes off when the cover is closed. Phone unlocks when its open) That negates the con of the wrong unlock button placement on the phone. I am going to use it thoroughly and will post updates if required. Yeah, couple of more things. my friend has T2 Ultra and Desire 816 just blows it away on all aspects (Screen, Camera, Music, Looks, etc). Moreover, T2 Ultra is costlier. Also the phone is not as big as its on paper. Fits right in my jeans pocket and I can still ride my bike comfortably. :-)
My Score: 9/10 (Because of internal storage. Only 4GB available to use.)
Anybody confused between phones at the same price range, go with Desire 816. You will thank me later....
