I have also sent a mail regarding availability of this phone. I got this reply:
As per your email, we understand that you want to know when HTC Desire 816 will be available on retail stores in Bangalore (India) and you also want to know whether it support 4G network or not.
We value the importance of your concern and we will certainly assist you with your query.
In this regard, we would like to inform you that HTC Desire 816 is expected by second week of May 2014 and it will only support 2G and 3G network. Please wait for our official announcement. We hope, soon the phone should be available in the market.

Too much delay. ..me too waiting for more than a month . .its really getting over. . I m going bangalore this weekend. . If I did nt get it till sunday. .I will look for other options. .seems poor supply chain management. .
