AnonD-348558, 05 Jan 2015I just suffered a cracked screen on my HTC Desire 816, and there is NOTHING out there that I w... moreOh, yeah, I forgot to mention the sound. These speakers are far better than any other phone at this price. No need for bluetooth speakers. And the processor speed is amazing! Only my Tab S is sgnificantly faster, and that has 8 cores, with 4 running at 1.9 ghz and thevother 4 running at 1.3 ghz. I would rather see more than 8 gigs of internal memory, but it can handle a huge micro SD card....
I just suffered a cracked screen on my HTC Desire 816, and there is NOTHING out there that I would buy instead! I will either fix it or replace it with another one.
I used to photograph motorcycle races for a living, and I don't see why anyone would complain about this camera. I carry a compact 14mp digital camera in a cell phone case on my belt. This is a cell phone, not a camera. Low light level performance should not be expected from a cell phone at this price level, and at 13 mp, it's about 5mp better than anything else you can buy at this price. One app I use constantly is Camscanner by intsig. I can shoot fine print on documents and have it perfectly readable, something I have not been able to do with any other device, not even my Samsung Tab S, with its 8 mp camera! I have over 3 gigs of apps installed on this phone! So I'm an app whore. This is the first phone I have ever had that would load apps like that! Right now, there is nothing at this price that will compete on any level at all with the Desire 816, and Virgin Mobile just upgraded my account to unlimited talk, still for $35 a month! AND Sprint now has a better signal than ever before. What's not to love?
plzz dont install the clean master app in htc desire 816...that reduces the battery life....anybody install that app???uninstall the application and see the difference in battery backup...plzz guys my valuable advise.
freinds i am looking to bye new phone...which one will be better grand2 or htc desire 816g...pls pls pls comments your valuable suggestion...
I bought this phone last September. Very good performance. I comfortable with this
This phone may carry a mid-range price but it is certainly not your traditional mid-range device. It redefines what mid-range is.
This phone carries a vivid 5.5 inch display, a size typically only found in flagship devices. It has HTC's front facing speakers that pack a good sound and a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera that are both very good for a phone of this level.
The phone is well built and comes in a selection of colour choices and also with HTC's software which enhances android beyond its usual self.
My only problem with this device is that it comes with 8GB of internal memory, which quite frankly is really poor for a 2014 built device. App sizes are getting larger and larger and 8GB doesn't stretch anywhere near as far as it used to, even if you consider that you can move some of the app data to a micro-sd card.
But all this cannot distract from the fact that this is a very well designed device, it looks good, performs great and has probably the best battery life of any 2014 device - if you are after a mid-range device then this should be at the top of your list.
