i got lollipop update last night. In my first attempt i failed to download it as it was showing corrupted.....may be due to network issue it got cancelled but then i was able to install tthe update in 2nd attempt as i downloaded over night via wifi.
after intalling it for about an hour my phone performance degraded ....touch become unresponsive....it slow down.I thought may be i downloaded corrupted update. I freed up my internal storage by moving file to sd card. And as time fly by it performance improved exponentially. Not only its become faster than it was with kitkat, but the response touch is also butter smooth.I guess if I free up more space and do factory smooth it may rival flagship phone.
Most importantly the much cried out issue is resolved ...its heating problem. I am a big Fan of clash of clan, i play it day and night and earlier after playing for 15 min it used to heat upto 46-50 degree, but now it is within the limit of 42-45 which is quite normal as smartphone processor are getting more powerful and demanding. Moreover its stand by time improved drastically.
There is not much change in appearnce apart from lockscreen, notification tray and recent app. But i am satisfied with it considering HTC is already offering many customisation with htc theme, sense home etc .
The only grief i am left with is the long time it takes to charge.
Overall HTC did a great job, finally addressing heating problem thereby battery life. Our patience and HTC effort finally bore fruit. Annd the news of the prospect of receiving marsgallow in distant future is an ice on the cake.
