My wife still uses this phone seven years later. She just needs a talk & texting phone and she loves the compactness of this model.
came with a 2yr conract.
great music sound still use it to day in car/ bathroom
could not fault it
a definitive moby to save forever.
The HTC Wildfire Series are great PHONES. Some of us don't need all of the bells and whistles on the new phones. These phones were easy to use for, phone calls, Text and Email. Sure wish I could find a phone like the Wildfire today. Whats worse is the carriers, US, are not supporting 2G phones. It's a shame technology Is ignoring a cell phone market, probably larger then the one they have now
How about the Razr, would give my right arm for one that I could use. simplicity is the word.
I love this phone its amazing, easy to carry , and its size is just right :)
The worst mobile in the range. And Worst service from a mobile company in present time. My ever biggest mistake to buy such a product which was serviced thrice in a year. Poor company response. No service center. Despite a device being serviced thrice a year no favourable action taken. A big No to all the products of HTC. Only advice to all- If you have money through corruption go for the device otherwise dont waste your hard earned money on HTC devices. Thanx
slow yes, depends on what you are planning to do with it, works fine as a phone, long battery life, and SMALL
Rajendra, 23 Nov 2016What update this phone and can I convert 4gGet htc 820 for LTE/4G
Stock ROM was slow at hell!
Tried installing CM10 on it and now it's fine! It's also overclock able.
I've used this phone for the last 4 years, no major problems. Very compact and easy to use if you only need to call and listen to music, just like me. Going for Apple now, want to try something new.
All i can say is that this phone was great only for it had no flash on camera.......
Still was a fantastic phone though
Nice phone. I got 3 from my friend (he has 2 boxes full of them), but the size, inability to (without going to http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/upgrade-htc-desire-android-jellybean-cm10-install-376575 to upgrade via CyanogenMod and http://theunlockr.com/2012/06/22/how-to-install-clockworkmod-touch-recovery-on-htc-desire/ to get ClockWorkMod Recovery) upgrade to JellyBean, and tiny storage make this hard to recommend as a 2016 phone.
i bought it in 18000 3 years ago ... time has so much changed now in 18000 u can purchase a much better phone ... but its good and strong ... but slow as well
Using this mobile from 3 years bought for 12K, first year was excellent. now, its been slow, but still dont know why its been good.
It fall down so many times, even from train..still it is strong..very strong :)
satisfied by using for 3 years
I understand the other commentors - this phone is really slow and almost unusable in web with its original OS. You definitely have to root it and install CM. I used this guide:
CM will not make it a rocket, but at least it will be usable for daily tasks. The android browser, mail, whatsup, instagram, facebook lite, YT - working OK (programs like skype, viber etc... are to big for this phone)
