HTC Android

HTC has started rolling out the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for its selfie smartphone - Desire EYE. To our surprise, the Taiwanese company has started seeding this Lollipop update first in its home country - Taiwan.

HTC Desire EYE (Taiwan) receives Android 5.0.2. ROM version is 2.19.709.1 (1008.9MB).

The new Lollipop system update bears 2.19.709.1 build version and weighs 1008.9MB heavy. The update brings all great features of the Lollipop version but surprisingly doesn’t bump the Sense UI to Sense 7 version. Instead, the update has Sense 6.55 on board.

LlabTooFer, a ROM developer, estimated that the Sense 7.0 UI will arrive with Android 5.1 update and will be made available for several existing models.

We look forward to the improvements especially in the camera section. Do let us know if you find something new and check our Desire EYE review to figure out the difference.
