Just got new HTC Desire battery life seems a little short six hours before I need to recharge any ideas is this a faulty phone or is this normal?

AnonD-6318, 16 Apr 2011With a daily use (some music, wifi, internet, calls 2g), how long the batery last???With that usages, I can easily get around 50-60% at the end of the day with my Desire HD. If you just know and willing to tweak around network settings, brightness and animations, especially when not in use (3G, Wifi, Sync etc.) But ofcourse, I am still charging my phone every night.

Hi,
im trying to decide between the htc desire hd and the desire z. the desire hd has a better camera, processor and more ram (but im guessing it needs it with a 4.3 inch screen). While the desire z has a keyboard.
Any suggestions regarding which phone i should choose?

hello everyone.i own a brand new desire hd and i must say it is great.i was afraid about the baterry life due to the bad reviews i've read,but as it turned out there's nothing to worry.i can say that it's the same like my galaxy s.great screen and ui,superb camera,very fast,way faster than galaxy s,no lag and no freezing,wich my galaxy gives me at least 2 times a day.excelent build quality,great audio with a pair of good headphones,not that great on loudspeaker though,excelent call quality,the best i have ever had on a phone,miles ahead galaxy s,very good preinstalled apps,superb screen ,very bright,very crisp,altough it's a bit hard to get used with after using the superamoled.all in all would highly recommand this piece of art to anyone who want's a real flagship device.for me it's better in all ways than the galaxy s though i like that one too.

The phone has a really nice screen and the size seems just right. It's just that it's freaking difficult to type on touchscreens!!! And sometimes the phone lags like crazy, or hangs and needing a reset (and I actually have a task killer so the memory thing isn't the problem)... and my music player just sometimes start behaving in a really weird manner - it jumps seconds on each track suddenly and continues until I restart the phone (I didn't click on any buttons By the way), or just becomes silent and starts 'scrolling' through the songs (and by the way the songs are not corrupted). Well nice phone but cranky. Real cranky. And battery life barely lasts a day. :( Even without bluetooth or wifi on (like it's freaking on standby with only a few calls done)
Anyone experienced the same? :)

i took the Desire HD on a upgrade in March. I had 4 new phones already as I had to return the others due to poor battery life. The cellphone co. Were amased about the incident seems like they did not look further into the problem.as I was reading other comments I realised that the poor battery life is a common problem with the phone.I'm getting my 5'th new phone next week,I'm thinking of rather changing to the Nokia E7.I really liked the phone but can't struggle with a flat battery everyday, I wonder how long the battery itself will last,cause I had to charge it 2-3 times a day.

Iv had this phone for bout 6 months n love it, think its best around but recently had a problem:
All my messages were deleted n there was only one remaining in inbox it was from something like ~@v$????
thats not the exact symbols i deleted the blank message but has anyone seen anything similar to this before??
I have avg antivirus on my phone
Please help with suggestions, thanks

hi freinds...
just bought the desire hd and i shd tell u that its a good phone overall...m nt using very high end terms to define my expirience wd it...
just two weeks before i bought the samsung galaxy sl(one with the s-lcd)...ONE OF THE MOST HORRIBLE PHONE EVER BY SAMSUNG...in just two weeks its freezed as many as 6-7 times...no smooth operation on it and it even lags once u get too many apps on it...PLASTIC BODY...YUCKSSSSSS!!!!...it was a fingerprint magnet...in a nutshell i was irritated wd it and was cursing myself that y i bought that ph in a hurry!!!!
now comes the HTC DESIRE HD...super smartphone...great operation...smooth handling...even better touch...awesome web bowsing experience...HTC SENSE is superb...bigger display...gingerbread update is coming...great sound in headphone and when connected to speakers...nice cam and flash...better and innovative UI...
but the battery backup is what i comprmise upon...still it goes fr a day...and speaker of the phone has very low output...
ANYONE PLANNING TO BUY ANT SAMSUNG MOBILE(until n unless ur thinking abt galaxy s2) SHOULD GO N BUY AN HTC PHONE...N ESPECIALLY DESIRE HD...A CULT STATUS SMARTPHONE IN SINGLE CORE PROCESSOR MOBILES!!!!
