had this phone for around 2 months .love it ,yes its big ,bulky ,brash ,but its so top end .love the free apps ,screen size is amazing when watching hd films .music has a good sound quality.i have just put a 32 gig card in so with all the other memory there is plenty of space for all my needs.what more do you need .after all this is a phone !!!

i don't know why some complains it lags as hell.
mine is buttery smooth and fyi the single core runs on the 2nd gen qualcomm SOC and andreno GPU, i think it has the same soc with experia arc, try google it "qualcomm wiki"....
one of the weak points for this phone is just battery ONLY, i had it flashed to revolution hd ROM and overclocked it to 1.224GzH hhhmmnn maybe that's the culprit but im loving it for my music, videos and games. i think i can stick to this phone for another 1-2 years. im sure its already future proof for that period. i don't need a dual core cpu for a phone bcoz implanning to buy the latest NGP/PSP2 for real good games with PHYSICAL buttons, i love pushing real hard buttons, bwehehehe...
the screen is not as good with SAmoled but its quite better ahead than regular LDCs, good viewing angles and has neutral contrast but black is not as black like in Samoled/Amoled screens. but for everyday use its already that good.
and i don't have a plan on putting sumthing on it like i shield/cap dase/leather case, i love it by its bare slim cold hard aluminum body. syet, i like it in every detail.
one thing also the screen is a magnet for smudge, smudge, SMUDGENESS...

I'm using desire HD, about 2 month.
Screen looks nice, but colors are really dim. And even for me (1.87m), screen is too large and phone is too heavy. Speaker is very quiet, and camera looks really bad...
But, sense is very fast, web scrolling is smooth, best from any android device.

I know the battery life sucks, but instead of me whining about it, I bought another USB cable for my office desktop. Everytime I'm at my desk, my phone is connected to my desktop downloading, synching and updating contacts from facebook... So everytime I get out of the office and go partying somewhere else, my battery is full...

Telus is planning to release the Desire HD in the Canadian market soon. Thus, there will be a North American version of this phone.

Tons o... moreI have had the Galaxy S and there is not alot in it when it comes to the battery life, I would say you get around 5% -10% more life out of it then the DHD. In the end I went for the DHD and once you get over how good the phone is and learn to stop playing with it so much the battery life for this type of phone is not all the bad. All Smart phones with this type of spec all have low usage on them, there are some older smart phones with almost the same spec which have a higher mAh battery but they really need it cos they use the older CPU's
If you want a phone which has a great battery life DONT buy any of these high end smart phones!!
(Tip: Mugen HTC Desire HD Battery Extended Battery - 1300mAh) This seems to add on the little extra life the Galaxy S gives!!

At first I was also afraid of the battery, I've read so many feedbacks about negativity on this phone. But now, I have it. And my battery almost lasts for 2days with normal use. There are so many ways on how to improve it. You JUST NEED TO SEARCH Mr. GOOGLE and don't post a negative feedback if you haven't touched/used the DHD itself. My phone is 1.24ghz :> Ive improved my phone. So yeah, i love my DHD!

Tons o... moreJust so you know, the phone lasts a day with heavy usage, everything you could want turned on. 2 days on low/medium. And probably 3 with nothing else but 2G calls and texts, I haven't managed to confrim this though, it's way too fun.

Tons of features but can't use them, battery will die...
better stay away from this phone...
