Hi, did anyone dropped this phone of course accidently. How strong it is? Seen reviews of Dell Streak that it broke in 3 pieces. Anything similar or other than this phone after dropping.

                Thanks in advance.

Zapper, 08 Feb 2011Hi DB, well i have a question the 8GB SD card which comes wit the Desire HD if i format it wi... moreI haven't tried to reformat my SD card ever since I bought the phone. It's hard for me to make a comment. What I know when I downloaded 2 games from HTC sense/HTC market-Angry Birds and Blackjack. The Angry Birds game went to my SD card and the Blackjack game on my phone itself. I don't know the reason why, and I didn't push the issue to get resolving. So far, everything is fine with my phone. I can play the games without any hassle.

The only time I took the SD card when I unmounted them but not reformat them. This was because, when I choose to have my phone connected to usb disk drive instead of synchronizing them to my pc. When I say "connected to your usb drive" this is if you want to create a separate folder for your phone so can put all your music for notification purposes etc.

                        Have fun ... Goodluck!

DB, 08 Feb 2011No one is forcing you to buy this phone. Won't you appreciate it me being unbiased? After all,... moremate dont get me wrong cos i appreciate all your comments and advise and i really do like this phone.its just that im stuck between this one and the galaxy-s and the truth they both have the specs i want but im not that keen on the qalaxy-s simply cos samsung can be quite vacant with minor updates and support.i beleive that this phone will also run better than the galaxy with the 2.3 update due to its bigger ram size so in the end i think ill still be goin for the DHD.there was no harm intended as it was just a passing thought i posted but i apologize anyway.

I use the phone for the following reasons mainly for calls and sending messages. In some aspects ....

I took videos (short clips)superb shots and transferred it to my computer eventually uploaded it to my FB.

I don't listen to music instead I use my IPOD Touch.

Never will I have my Bluetooth on in public places. This is to prevent from harbouring viruses from other phones. If necessary I'll have it on @ home where it is safe and when it's really needed.

I don't use Wi-Fi since I don't surf the net through my phone. I can wait till I get home and use my desktop computer.

GSM is enough to call and send/receive messages I don't need 3G.

All these aspects and the rest would help you to conserve your battery. Now if you are not happy of what it can do and can't do ... at the end of the day it's all up to you to decide which phone suited for your needs.

This is just a GUIDE ......

                                    Goodluck!

Super phone. I used the battery for 48 hours and more before finally recharging it within 2 hours to full 100% charge. This phone needs to be tuned up initially, as you used it and recharge it for a week plus the phone gets better and better. The battery power actually improves. Talk time lasts longer. I talk for 1 hour plus and it only drain about 15% of of the battery. Played angry birds with it for an hour plus and it drains about 10% of the battery. The phone's battery lasts longer and longer as you use it. I formatted the battery once for 4 cycle of 5 - 10% battery to 100% full charge or till the indicator turns green. It really helps improve the battery life a lot. Have more patience, give your Desire HD more time. It's really a phone worth holding.
