HTC Desire HD - user opinions and reviews

I have checked this phone today in Mumbai shop, allthough he didn't allow me to start one, what I felt is this a very huge phone, heavy, not so finished & looked uncomfortable to handle.
Thinking to go for Desire Z instead.
Did any user had the same reactions on desire HD.

do htc is mad
they launched the great handset
they did't give enougth battery for the phone and also screen is LCD not even SLCD, whcih would have improved battery life

I demo-played this at a cell-phone shop in Tokyo but couldn't find anything good compare to my softbank's iphone 3Gs and docomo's Galaxy S.
It looked it has lots of bugs at the shop and the performance wasn't acceptable for me.
FYI, go for iPhone if you want something simple and easy to use / go for soon-to-be comming Galaxy S2 if you are a power user and an androider.
I think the No.1 android phone is the Galaxy line so far with no doubt.

HTC desire Hd mobile is a outstanding mobile for the person who love to browse net.In my opinion it is more than a laptop.CONGRATULATION DESIRE HD.

i dont have a problem with applications or with the device....
I have a bug issue here....just try it for your self.
when you go to people and search for contacts, the search should be at the top in the searching box.
but in my case, it appears in the middle of the screen with big fonts inside black transparency box. and it stuck there. the only way to clear it is by restarting the phone.....

But what I know one of the applica... moreDear, it is not about lag. no more lag. but this is about the issue when entering people and when press the menu (keep pressing it ) keyboard will appear. and when i type, the letters come up in black box. when trying to erase them, no use..:(
i tried going out of people , and i returned back, still there. (like if the letters stuck on the screen) and the only solution is to restart the phone..
Hope u understand me bro, i am really suffering with iy.

hey guys, having a taskiller is good,..or can we just manage the background data, wifi,bluetooth etc to get better battery performance,...
i have advance task killer, when i kill all the runing apps & go back to home screen it shows loading for few seconds can anyone tell me y is it?????

i need help guys,..
i bought DHD 2 days back, all was goin good,..was happy wit it,now it suddenly goes off. sumtimes gets hang, i had to remove ma battery twice to fix it.
plz guys help, is there anything to fix it or should i give it back,.....i love this phone, but no point in having this with an error

Hi All,
I've been using the Desire HD for a week now and although it's a nice smooth mobile to use, the battery life is appalling. I'm very disappointed in it's charge span.
After just cruising Facebook and the like on it for an hour, the battery is almost half drained. I've turned off background data and all and that doesn't seem to help.
I'm ready to sell it, not really enjoying it's battery life span, it's hideous.

I am also planning to switch from my old desire to this one..

It seems it is a Bug from the Software... moreI'm not sure if it's a bug, cause it isn't lagging on mine. But what I know one of the applications/widgets that I've downloaded from htc sense has a bug that I haven't reported it yet - handcent sms.

Any idea if we can get an application to increase the Volume of the ( Ring Tones &... moreRe ringtones/notifications that are embedded in your phone you can try to increase their volumes. I haven't try increasing their volumes though except for one that I've downloaded from htc sense and use it as my notification.
Re rooting the device it's all up to you but if I were you I wouldn't do it. That is one of the causes for lagging the phone.
