Richard, 21 Jan 2011hello friends
i m planning to buy a good fone so i got two choices that is galaxy S and htc ... moreboth are good. i have dhd while my mum has the galaxy.
depends on what kinds of features/functions you prefer
do u like clear, crisp display? Galaxy.
Do u want an engaging UI with abundant download content? Desire HD.
Both phones are great, i tell you. Personal preference, Desire HD. Try first and you will know.
super slim, super fast.
this model from htc really caught my eye!
initially i wanted to get the htc desire but what the heck, this model is an improved version with an 8 mp camera, ( which takes decent pictures btw ), a bigger screen (AMOLED doesnt really matter that much to me, the display is still great) ,very engaging HTC sense UI with loads of features that's waiting to be explored and awesome downloadable content from the htc hub too, though i wished there could be more to come.
There are some techniques to prevent the phone from 'lagging' such as 1)reducing the number of internet-run widgets on the home screens. 2)i changed from 7 to 5. stop the phone from syncing/updating on a regularly basis, meaning you do everything manually. 3)turn off the internet too. * hope it helps you guys too :/ *
complaints? 1) battery life actually could last me a day, based on how much internet i used, calls i made, games i played etc. brightness for the phone was greatly reduced to conserve batt power. Its cool that it has a power saver function. I set mine to 30%.
2) volume isnt really that loud. i couldnt ever hear my alarm and i cant even blast my music whenever i wanted.
3) no camera shutter key
3a) A little big? It depends.
All in all i felt that the phone was really, really good. would give it a 9/10 despite the negatives mentioned because htc needs to address these issues too. Plus its on team Android! :)
I would really recommend this phone to young executives who intend to get a smart smartphone with neat features, like to keep things organised, stay ahead of the game and take exciting camera/video shots whenever the please.
With love! Sammy, Singapore.
any news on 2.3 for HDH? i have had mine for almost 2 mos and must say except battery its all good. i have ordered a 1600 mA and will see how that helps.
Richard, 21 Jan 2011hello friends i m planning to buy a good fone so i got two choices that is galaxy S and htc ... morevery simple go for DHD it have 8 mpx cam... 4.3 screen display...many more with less price
I have been using my phone for three days, im still excited to touch, hold and use this unit. smiling all the time, knowing that my phone(DHD) is so good n brilliant.
my sis and wife got Iphone4 and bro Iphone 3gs, they're jealous coz they can tell how good my phone is.
yup battery my be an issu, but its not really that bad.If iphone battery life is 10, then DHD is 8.some people might care about this but i dont.
Picture quality may not be as great as iphone4,(again if iphone4 10, DHD 9)but then im not really fussy with this part coz i have point and shot camera.duh!
So only get this phone if you are a practical person, no time for bullshit. in short, this phone is NOT FOR PRETENDERS!!!!!
[deleted post]However the depth of blacks and the overall contrast falls obviously short of Super AMOLEDs and Retina displays. When you put the handset next to a phone using a superior display technology, it really does make a difference. The viewing angles are not that spectacular either.
Really an amazing experience. I have used both iPhone4 and would recommend desire hd. Undoubtedly the best smart phone available.
